i had to force myself to stop and write how amazing this is. I can't wait to see all about Phoenix but, you spaced it out perfectly. She needed to heal first and have such an amazing suport group

This was a really powerful story. I'm amazed by it.

It bugs me a little that they did not think of something so simple as paper and pen for conversing with bella, at the beginning. but, well, i get it. also, it is a bit annoying that almost everyone who would deal with strong guilty feelings would tend towards "shutting themselves down". Like edward and jasper. I get it Bella doing it. And Melanie, from the group therapy. But not everybody, you know? I think different people deals differently with guilt and other feelings. and that is normal. Jazz and Ed could be overcome by guilt AND react differently than bella. Shutting down and shunning everyone is not the norm. At least, not from my life experience. It also bugged me a little that "edward had to pass through that isolation period" to better understand bella. i do not agree with it and i think him shunning everyone out was unnecessary to the plot. he could be extremely sad and continue to normally - friendly - associate himself with other people (and, yeah, not even talk to jazz, em and ali. this i get).

other than that, i really loved Bella's character. her strength. her development. and the story itself. the first time she shares her story with Ali is SO F... POWERFUL. I get the shivers just remembering it. it was also amazing to see everyone make mistakes and grow from that - they were just rowdy teenagers, after all.

and esme and carlisle? i do not even have words for them. Charlie and Renee as well. Such a sad story. You could feel the love they felt for bella on Charlie's letter and from her account of the torture they endured in Phoenix. Liz and Ed Sr. were also a sweet couple, even though he was VERY RARELY at home. i just graduated from law school (not in the us, i'm not from the states) and i am thankful to say my schedule is not even close to being that hectic.
