Duchess67 chapter 5 . 8/8/2022 Little Miss Know it All was wrong in trying to correct Harry, he used the proper word "me" and she used the wrong one of "I". I'm actually amazed that Dumbles allowed the invisibility cloak to be torched. And McGonagall allowed them to torch that photo album. That was quite unusual. Does the entire wizarding world go mad at irregular intervals or what? I'm thinking it must. And yes, you are a rascal for that little cliffy. LOL |
Duchess67 chapter 4 . 8/7/2022 I honestly hope this snaps Petunia back to reality and she starts helping Harry. Not sure how much, if any, good it will do her. |
Duchess67 chapter 3 . 8/7/2022 Albus just DRAGGED a fox into the chicken coup, I think. I also hope he learns to regret it! |
Duchess67 chapter 2 . 8/7/2022 Oh my ... I pity the wizards and witches now. Harry used a name that reminds me of The Count of Monte Cristo and how he was all about revenge. I hope Harry can eventually let go of his hate and find peace, maybe even love somehow. But in the meantime, who is first on his vengeance list? |
Rex Ursarum chapter 19 . 8/2/2022 He should have killed the child the moment he confirmed that it wasn’t bs |
Guest chapter 13 . 7/30/2022 Hey! You didn't insult Ginny...you insulted dogs! |
Tomas chapter 8 . 7/29/2022 Obviously Hermione has never heard of the saying "never trust anyone over the age of thirty". |
tomascatts chapter 20 . 7/30/2022 Liked the story but since Neville has been dead for over a year I'm not quite sure how they're pulling off Luna having his baby. |
MissGSmith51 chapter 20 . 7/17/2022 This is such a sad story … and I don’t think it really had to be as sad as it is. Yes, the loss of Neville had a profound effect, IMO, because Neville was such a kind, gentle person and one of the few who truly treated Harry as a friend. Luna, too, was a real friend who had believed in Harry’s innocence. Unfortunately, Dumbledore just couldn’t leave bad enough alone and had to meddle. If Harry had been allowed to retreat in privacy — with Dobby and Winky and any other Potter elves — and heal quietly, I think he probably would have calmed down a lot sooner. Luna was so gentle in her “confrontations” that she would have wormed her way into his life and truly become a close friend. As insightful as she is, she would have begun to notice which people had believed in Harry from the beginning and probably would have helped Harry rebuild a circle of true friends. Harry would have eventually met the Twins through the Goblins, at the least, and learned their truth. I suppose people like Lee Jordan and maybe the girls also would have come along. Allowed to move at his own pace and think things through logically, I believe Harry would have continued to slowly heal. The biggest problems I saw were those who not only insisted he forgive them, but that he do it on THEIR timetable. Every time someone attempted to force something with Harry, it was like pulling the scab off a wound and it became “infected” and irritated all over again. And face it … Harry’s heart and his psyche were one big wound (or maybe a thousand little ones … I’m not sure). People didn’t like the “scabs” they saw in and on Harry; they didn’t understand them, because they were ugly and made Harry unrecognizable. But scabs ARE ugly. Unfortunately, they are part of the healing process, and if left alone they eventually fall off and reveal “new skin.” If people would have allowed things to move at their own speed, they might have begun to see some growth and change. For example, take the Firebolt. If Harry had found it lying on his bed with a sincere, heartfelt letter, signed by house members, and saying they know he loves flying and hope maybe he can find some release with it again … he might have gone flying and then thanked them. Unfortunately, they forced it on him, and not because they screwed up or wanted him to be able to enjoy flying again. No, they were just concerned about themselves and the Quidditch cup. They just couldn’t leave things to move at their own pace. The Malfoy business probably would have happened, because Draco couldn’t accept the truth and blamed Harry. Hermione had to be forced to leave Harry alone, because she could not accept and admit her role in things. Had she done so, things might have calmed down, at least, between them … or not. I don’t think they ever would have been actual friends again, because Harry would never trust her; but they may have settled into an acquaintance type of relationship, eventually. Maybe. With the exception of the Twins, the Weasleys were over for Harry. Molly blamed him for Percy being a DE. Ron is incapable of admitting his guilt in any situation and expects automatic forgiveness. Arthur’s gentle personality and his humility might have eventually prevailed against Harry’s “walls,” but maybe not. Ginny and Molly both needed mind healing. ‘Nuf said. I would have expected more compassion from Sprout and Flitwick. Both seem more caring and gentle than McGonagall, and both are more objective when it comes to Dumbledore. They could have helped Harry. In the end, Harry is Dantes, so he isn’t really going away … technically. But will he assume the Liam Dantes name and persona permanently? If he does, perhaps he can bring the changes to the Wizarding World that Harry would have wanted. Harry’s very name and past had too much baggage and too many expectations attached, and I think Harry knew it. Maybe he can find happiness — and even love — as Liam Dantes. I hope so. |
MissGSmith51 chapter 5 . 7/16/2022 "I wonder how many people your son tortured and killed madam, besides Neville and me, I mean." "Neville and I," Hermione corrected automatically, earning another glare from Harry. Ha! Ha! Harry is correct and Hermione’s “automatic correction” is wrong. “Besides Neville and me” is a prepositional phrase and it requires an objective pronoun — in this case, ME. Don’t believe me? Drop the words “Neville and” from the phrase and you have “besides me.” Tell me … would you say “besides I”? I didn’t think so. (Sorry for my English teacher moment. Even nine years after retirement, I have an occasional lapse.) I dearly wish Harry had set Hermione straight. |
Guest chapter 6 . 7/13/2022 idk, Harry could've just sit in the room of requirements, flying and not doing whatever there is.. he's just bending |
Guest chapter 6 . 7/13/2022 ye, discussing the same theme over and over again but with different ppl... |
Guest chapter 4 . 7/13/2022 and somehow i doubt he'll be that vengeful... he even spared Ripper. "Oh, everybody'll see hell! While I prank them and stare them down, showing off my disgust at them. And then I might forgive a lot bunch of those...". Sounds like it. |
Guest chapter 3 . 7/13/2022 "unless their guardian requests a change of school in front of the Wizengamot and provides a good reason as to the need for the change" just change a guardian, if there's one too annoying... what's the problem? While you're pretty much the strongest person around, and even have funds to give Petunia. Wizengamot members can be persuaded as well - by just saying that their disagreement might have unpleasant consequences, or they could obtain a friendly relationship with the...hero. Whatever that little reasoning you've put into the action for returning Potter back into the castle. |
CarolWim chapter 3 . 7/12/2022 Potter was powerful when defeating all the death eaters and voldemort. Suddenly he isn't with the irritating Dumledore and the ministry. Something wrong with your story line? I can't read this crap. |
