Thank you very much for another excellent chapter. Personally, I’m one of the people that really doesn’t like Dumbledore lol. While I don’t think he is necessarily a dark lord, in hiding in the books, I think he’s an incredibly incompetent leader, someone who should never take any kind of military or action oriented position that requires tough decisions, such as taking the lives of enemies, and he is horrendously responsible for many of the trials, and tribulations that Harry Potter went through unnecessarily. Honestly, you can look at all seven books, in a way as Dumbledore‘s entire process of grooming, Harry Potter, to be a martyr, willingly isolating him in various ways, and making sure that he has absolutely no sense of self-worth, so that he would willingly kill himself at the end of the story in order to defeat Voldemort.

Anybody who has seen a Disney movie, or has read Alice in Wonderland knows the origin of the chapter title.
Not as obscure as you think it is.

Probably been guessed dozens of times over by now but I'll throw in
He compiled the name from a book;
Edmund Dantes was a wrongfully convicted man sent to prison for life, he escaped, found a treasure and used his wealth to exact revenge on the people who betrayed him as "The Count of Monte Cristo"
Ergo, Edmund Cristo.
Not really a hard connection to make for me I was raised on the classics.

Your author's note at the beginning of the chapter.
This is an important plot point, and as such should have been revealed IN THE NARRATIVE it's self.
If you were creating a WTF moment in the previous chapter after establishing Potter WAS Dante in Earlier chapters, then you should have prepared a reveal WITHIN the story in a later chapter rather than doing so outside the framework in an author's note.
A work of art should stand on it's own, and NOT require the creator to stand next to the frame explaining everything.
That's what you did with this Author's note.
Create your work so it can stand without additional explanation.
