| aegisZero chapter 12 . 3/16
It was fantastic.
| Traitor of All Traitors chapter 12 . 1/28
No sequel? No telling what happens next?
| COBRASTEVE chapter 1 . 11/12/2015
I've only rear CH 1 but I was so disturbed I cheated and scanned CH 12. I really don't know if I can read the rest. I'll have to think on this first.
| The Cruel chapter 12 . 8/28/2014
This fanfic is a nice "What if" scenario here. And at last, they were all fucked. About Asuka, since one specific one-shot, I never thought about her, cutting her hair. Asuka with short Hair is so unimaginable for me, and becoming a operations director also. Portraing Maya as a backstabing bitch is the most ironic thing of all. She was just scared.
| John Spangler chapter 1 . 7/13/2014
I didn't think that a fanfiction could be darker than the original, but your story really shocked me. It's so wonderfully tragic that...hell, I can't find the words. However, great job!
| Stepford Smiler chapter 12 . 7/8/2014
This is the closest I've been to crying in YEARS this is well written but Oh GOD you utter, utter ...
| NarwhalWarlord chapter 12 . 2/15/2014
Good stuff. Questions though:
1. How did Mana get the Trident down there?
2. Where was the Commander's AT Field? Manga sources show that he has one, and Original never contradicts it. I accept his death for narrative purposes, but wouldn't he put up more of a fight?
I like the ending, mired in utter despair and misery. Nice going with that.
| ChaddyManPrime chapter 1 . 2/4/2014
This more depressing than Obsession bro
| GodzillaFollower1998 chapter 12 . 11/22/2013
There is only one thing that comes to mind when I read this overly depressing story: 'One life can change the course of many.'
And this proves just that, Shinji really was the life that kept the darkness of this blank world at bay from the others, that and helped them with their own insecurities. He was a catalyst, and with out him...
Things fall apart...
| MAI742 chapter 10 . 11/19/2013
I found myself re-reading this one as something to do when suffering from insomnia.
Thinking back on this story, I would have preferred less angst-milking in favour of it being more, I dunno. Nuanced?
But this flamboyantly melodramatic tale is something you should be proud of. It's been a deliciously depressing delight to consume (again), and I thank you for having written it.
| snowman1989 chapter 12 . 8/28/2013
Someone had to ask, didn't they? "How could things possibly get any worse?" And you came up with one hell of a soul-crushing answer, snuffing out the last beacon of hope in an already bleak, apocalyptic world.
I understand that the talented writer puts his/her characters through hell and tortures them to have us empathise with them and see what they're really made of. The way you've done this is exceptionally cruel, with all of the characters save for Gendo and (suprisingly) Asuka breaking under the punishment. I reckon the fate that befalls Asuka in this story is less humiliating and gruesome, and more plain awesome, than in End of Evangelion; she actually succeeds in killing the MP EVAs. Rei's fate is horrifyingly (and perhaps fittingly) ambiguous, and the knife is twisted further when you realise that what breaks her is an act of kindness. Anyone who wants to read this WILL be feeling depressed for the next week.
| RealRemainder chapter 12 . 7/3/2013
aw man come on...
| RealRemainder chapter 6 . 7/1/2013
Okay i'm sold.
Normally I hate fics where the main character dies off (even a dick wimp like Shinji) but this here really got my attention.
Already read up to c6, let's see some more.
| Thespurgin chapter 5 . 4/5/2013
I love this story, but I must point out that several of your chapters possess notable flaws in the use of Italics. It's like you forgot the ending signal in a sequence of programming code.
I humbly request you attempt to mend this, even if this story is completed.
| Ranma-sensei chapter 12 . 1/23/2013
I didn't think it could get more depressing - hell, even Anno-san didn't destroy psyches so completely!
I have to congratulate you, though. Darkfics rarely get to be Favorites with me - and this is the first one I WOULD READ AGAIN, so yeah; I think you did a great job. I guess the only one unaffected by how thoroughly you broke Asuka would be my wife - but for her the girl does have no redeeming qualities, whatsoever.
Anyway, keep up the good work! _
