CONGRATULATIONS ON YOUR 1,500TH REVIEW! It's honestly a great honour to be the one who's writing it. You, my dearest friend, deserve all the praise in this world for this fantastic story which, even if it's a 'finished chapter' of your writing progress, will always mean THE WORLD to me. I've read every single chapter on the edge of my seat, cliffhanger after cliffhanger, getting attached to original and already existing characters alike; this was truly one of the greatest reading experiences for me on this website and I will never, NEVER forget that.

I think this story is a true gem in the TDK fandom, and I hope that after this 1,500th review (I hope? I KNOW) there will be more to come, because come on. This is THE story in the TDK fandom. The one story that everyone should read. And I bet people will keep reading it, I mean... look at this review count. I truly hope you'll always consider this story one of your greatest accomplishments, because the way I see it, it is. And I bet that as much as it has been an amazing reading experience for me (and for everyone else who reviewed it), it was a challenging, but incredibly rewarding writing experience for you.

I cannot begin to describe the absolute adoration I have for this story. I cried with Taylor, I smiled with her - I desperately wanted the Joker to become something he wasn't just like Taylor did, and I'm sure the rest of your readers did too.

This was indescribably well written. The description was rich and I could clearly see the rundown apartment, the glass at the bottom of the stairs - the blood. Everything was just truly magnificent.

I'm going to run off and read the sequel now - to be honest, I was just so gobsmacked that it had ended that I hadn't finished your author's note (silly me) and was about to ask if you'd ever write a sequel. Well, there you go!

I just finished reading this story (and what you've written so far for the sequel) last night. I thought I'd wait till I was fully awake so I would be able to give you a good review. :)

You, my friend, have a very special talent! The way you write is absolutely beautiful. You know it's a good story when you can not only see it clearly, but hear it, smell it, taste it... it's incredible.

Astounding job on the Joker, by the way, I believe you nailed his character. His relationship with Taylor and how he treated her seemed very believable to me. For me, this character is capable of love, but he is still a twisted, sadistic person. As terrifying and dark as this story was, it had incredibly touching and beautiful moments. I was terrified for that poor little girl this whole story, but I absolutely loved it.

There were moments that felt so "complete" as I was reading, they played perfectly in my mind and felt true to the characters.

Thank you for sharing this brilliant piece of art, I enjoyed it very, very much. :) I'm very glad you've started a sequel, for the record! :)

This is such a brilliant portrayal of The Joker, you really added something to his character. You really did show a side to him that wasn't really seen in the film, and you did fantastic. Really.

The dialogue and the thought processes are so good, and all are so fitting. The Joker never seems to be out of character and when he is, it's because he's, ah, acting. It's great.

You never cease to amaze.

So I just finished reading this story today and I just have to say that this was soooooo good! I want to be honest for a moment, too. I noticed you took about four years to write this. I think I first noticed this story a year or so ago. For some reason, at that time, I didn't seem to get into it. I want to say it's because I'm really into Joker/OC fanfiction involving the Joker and some 18 year old girl (like I really loved your story, High Speed, very very much). It kinda turned me off that the main protagonist of the story was this little 4-year-old girl.

Now, I kept seeing this story pop up whenever you updated and I narrowed the search to just Joker and the rating M. A couple days ago, I decided to give this story a second chance and really try to get into it. I don't even know what my problem was before, because once I got into it, I couldn't stop. It came to the point where I'd fall asleep in the middle of a chapter (since I read stories on my phone only now) and woke up and was all excited to read again.

I am soo glad I kept reading this time! The whole dynamic of the Joker having to sort of care for this little girl was just perfect. Your writing style and the way you laid out the plot and all those cliffhangers at the end of chapters just made the story beyond perfect. I absolutely loved it and plan to read the sequel now!

I am... incoherent. This has been an amazing adventure and kept me leaning forward on the edge of my seat, eager to find out what happened next. The scenes were so visceral, so raw, and just... so fragmented, Joker personified. Amazing. I am starting the sequel now.

Omg this chapter was so heart breaking and adorable and sad and cute all at the same time I cannot even. I wanted to cry when she gave him her teddy. (mainly cause its the Internet and its 3 am but you know)

I love their relationship but hate it at the same time because I know Nolan!verse Joker would act exactly the way you're writing him and I want him to act like fanfiction!verse joker where he's sweet. But you're doing it the right way XD

Either way this is a fantastic story so far and I can't wait to see what happens o_o

I had doubts about this story and avoided it for awhile but a lot of other Joker writers had it in their favorites so I thought what the heck and I read it all in a day :) now its one of my favorites :)

You should do a follow up on when Taylor is older, just a small epilogue. To see how her life is going and if she remembers Joker and how old he is and what he's doing.

I love this story so far. Taylor is adorable. And I love the way she interacts with the Joker. I was addicted from chapter 1

The only problem I have is sometimes Taylor's thought are too mature for a 4 year old. But I mean I'd say you're smooth sailing if that's the only problem.
