Reviews for Theories About Nuclear Winter |

![]() ![]() Loved it. |
![]() ![]() ![]() I have a million thoughts running through my head, but the only thing that really needs to be said is that I love this. Truly, truly I did. |
![]() ![]() ![]() This was nice! I think there could have been some closure with Calvin's dad though. I also wonder why Calvin abandoned Hobbes back at his place. Maybe you meant it as a growing up thing for him, but there could have at least been a thought of the precious toy either in Calvin's mind or even in Susie's. |
![]() ![]() ![]() I love this story. |
![]() ![]() ![]() This is the most perfect thing in the entire world. I love how you describe how he feels being in love and how there are these little moments and how he has these made up scenarios and just everything about this is perfect and if I can just reread this for the rest of my life, I will be content. I love this and him and her and just. Thank you for writing this. It was a pleasure to read and will be in my favorites for me to look at when I want something perfect. |
![]() ![]() ![]() I can't remember if I've reviewed this beautiful piece of art before, but just in case I haven't, here it is. I discovered this a few years ago, and didn't add it to my favorites for some stupid reason. Maybe I got distracted. Maybe I didn't have an account. But because I remembered how poignant the title was, "Nuclear Winter," and remembered the warm happy tears it jerked from my eyes, I was able to come back to it again. And again. And again. Rereading the whole thing and digging my old Calvin and Hobbes treasuries out of my bookshelf to relive my childhood and revel in the knowledge that yes, Calvin and Susie did grow up, and yes, Hobbes is still around, and yes, they got married and had children and lived happily ever after. No matter how hard Calvin tried to mess it up. I have never been surer about adding a story to my favorites list. Thank you for this. From Calvin and Hobbes fans everywhere. |
![]() ![]() ![]() *jaw drop* I just sat here and read this and OH MY GOODNESS FEELS. I mean normally I don't even have feels, but this, THIS IS MARVELOUS. I do admit that I never particularly liked Calvin/Susie but that was when they were smaller and more likely to hate each other. It made me sad when he left Hobbes behind, but maybe it's leaving behind the old life in exchange for the new, or maybe that's just me being a Lit. teacher and over-analyzing. Now that he's older -and, by the way, you've captured Calvin's thinking patters perfectly- it makes more sense to have this. So much more sense. *quintuple thumbs up* You are a miracle worker and I love you. [In a non-romantic way] |
![]() ![]() ![]() The Calvin and Hobbes fandom has such good coming-of-age stuff; it's unbelievable. |
![]() ![]() ![]() I have read a lot of ff... I mostly read Percy Jackson and avatar the last air bender but I just started reading Calvin and Hobbes ... Honestly this is one of the best stories I have ever read... U captured calvin and susie's relationship perfectly! and i loved how hobbes was still a main part of the story...U truly have gift thank you for such an amazing story :) |
![]() ![]() ![]() Calvin is so sweet. I thought this would be a kids' story, but it's not, it's an adult's story, even though by the end of it they're only eighteen. An adult's story that no one should have to live, but that so many people do, without any end in sight. |
