|Reviews for A Case of Insanity|
| Guest chapter 11 . 1/20
Our poor Doctor and this isn't the first time he has been lied to and deceived by his dear friend
He's so forgiving of Holmes it almost a flaw
Love the writing
A story fit for the name of Sherlock Holmes and Sir Arthur Conan Doyle!
| tripleransom chapter 7 . 12/3/2015
Your description of Watson's fears for what might happen to Holmes when he is at the absolute mercy of people who define 'normal' by their standards instead of his, is horrifyingly reminiscent of the situation poor Jeremy Brett was in when he had to be institutionalised to treat his manic depression. He was terrified that they would destroy his acting genius by flattening out his highs and lows and change him into something else completely 'average'.
Poor Holmes. I guess the only thing worse might be a lobotomy. Imagine how horible to be awake as your mind was slowly being destroyed.
Ugh! A very shiver-inducing chapter indeed.

Yet another amazing story of yours. I'm truly in awe of your writing talent!

You know . . . Culdees ('Chaldeans') was an old term for the ancient Christians or the Celtic Christians from before the coming of the Saxons and their upholding of Roman Christianity. By extension, some also used it as a name for the earliest inhabitants of Britain, so maybe there's a doctorate in there for a valiant researcher after all. "Doctor" Holmes has a certain ring to it.
This just might be my favorite of your stories (except maybe "the one about the snake"?). Well done.

Holmes does an excellent insanity . . .
He is play-acting, isn't he?
| PSW chapter 11 . 3/21/2015
Good grief, Holmes. Watson really is forgiving... I don't know if I'd let it go that fast, given that it's not the first time it's happened. At least he made Holmes come to him though. Glad they got the bad guy, at least. I enjoyed, thanks for writing!
| PSW chapter 5 . 3/20/2015
So, there's got to be something going on here. I don't think Holmes is going insane - probably pulling some trick on Watson like he always seems to. Maybe he's got to get into the asylum for some reason ...
| PSW chapter 4 . 3/20/2015
Wow. That's ... crazy (sorry, pun not entirely intentional). What's going on? And...right, I'm not sure Mycroft's the best idea ever, but I guess we'll see what happens. Enjoying!
| PSW chapter 3 . 3/20/2015
Huh. Not sure what I think is going on here. Also not sure I trust Holmes to do what he says he's going to, at this point. We'll see...
| PSW chapter 2 . 3/20/2015
Hmm. Well, what can they do about this? Watson is persistent, he'll come up w something, I'm sure. Whether Holmes will go along w it is another story...
| PSW chapter 1 . 3/19/2015
Hmm... odd. I'll be interested to see where this is going...

I personally think that Watson forgave him far too easily, but then, that is what Watson does. After worrying him like that, with fears for his sanity, Holmes deserved a bit more punishment than he got. Great story though, I really liked it, though during a lot of it ai was afraid that Holmes stay insane. That was a worrying prospect. I'm glad it was solved.

That was brilliant! Like it was crafted by Sir. Doyle himself. I have never read a fanfic (and there has been many) that complimented the original stories so well. Even the many Sherlockians that have wrote hundreds of Holmes' pastiches would be very tried to create a story as enticing as yours. I can only congratulate you for your amazing literature skills.

Fantastic fic! Poor Doctor Watson, always being pulled this way and that in Holmes's schemes! Very well-written, the characters really shone, nice one!
