| Shandrial chapter 1 . 2/6/2012
That was fantastic! And a very good look into Bookman Junior's psyche. You can really see how on the Ark he struggled with whether he was really a bookman or an exorcist. He didn't really resolve that issue, just push it aside to be content that he was both at the moment. I think it's something he'll have to deal with in the future as well. Not counting his current situation lol.
I loved this piece though, it was definitely Lavi. I don't think Lavi is weak either, even reading this. I don't think anyone weak willed could take on different personas and getting involved with all that details, then just drop it and move on, if they didn't have a strong sense of who they really were and why they did it. Being a Bookman isn't really a job or way of life, it's what he IS at his very core. What he chose to be. But then, being an exorcist really is like that too. I think that's why watching and interacting from the exorcist's side confuses Lavi. Both the Bookman and exorcists are so fanatic at what they are.
I also love the bits in here where Lavi seems kind of dangerous. To even consider killing a sleeping Allen. It kind of reminds you, that as a Bookman and trained not to have any attachments, I think he'd be capable of doing something like that. And it reminds the readers that "Lavi" really is just a persona, and not the real him. Though I think the two ARE kind of merging since Allen's "death" in the forest of China.
So overall, I think this piece was great.

I love that of Lavi -&hearts- I don't think its weird, or something like that

I think that this was very deep. Lavi came to the Order when he was a teen, right? And at that age, he was still kind of impressionable. As it showed in his flashback, Lavi used to act as cold as Kanda (and so did Allen, actually...).
I think that this was placfed well in the time frame too. After knowing Allen and participating as much as he had in the war, it's no wonder that Lavi will start to question his thoughts and actions. I never pictured Lavi as weak, but I think this was quite in character.

This... I have no words for this. Aside from "perfect". It was all perfect. The characterization was perfect, the dialogues were perfect, the concept was perfect. I repeat, it was ALL perfect. This is almost exactly like I view Lavi, but with much much more dept.
And Allen was thinking about Cross. That made me go "Aw". So cute.

You didn't make Lavi weird! This is actually how I view him to be, and you captured it perfectly! In fact, I wish you'd build on this if only to see what Tim would do with the blackmail...

I really liked this, it made me really think. I also loved the idea of Lavis mind still being like a child and that he'd be more effected then most about Allens loss of self.
Hope you keep up the great ideas.

This story was amazing!
you really got inside Lavi's mind and tried to see what makes him tick and the result was a beautiful fic .
One part that i loved was the "What are you" "I am a friend" exchange.
