| Ravita20 chapter 1 . 8/26/2013
I remember falling in love with this story during my Phantom of the Opera/Twilight obsession days.
I don't think those days have ended because I still love this every bit as much as I did then.
I guess some things never change!
Thank you for writing this, Ori! :)

| BroadwayGeek24601 chapter 1 . 4/8/2010
(Just so you know, I have read most of the chapters. I'm just reviewing chapter one so nothing has to be divided up.)
Your guys' writing styles have potential, but you REALLY need to do some research beforehand. I'm assuming that you're keeping this set in the 1870s? Because Bella and Alice would be kicked out of the ball for wearing dresses like the ones they picked out, and Jacob would be the most scandalous man in society for walking into a woman's room unannounced and viewing her in her bedclothes in that time period. There aren't (and weren't) forests that close to Paris itself. "La Dumba" wouldn't have meant anything, since "dumb" didn't mean "stupid" back then; it meant "mute." Which is the direct opposite of Carlotta, lol.
Please don't take this as a flame, because it's not. You really just have to have a little more basis for the time period you're writing.

| GrassHopper-Or-Scorpion chapter 3 . 3/21/2010
I am sorry to be picky but the song, Memory, goes "Midnight, not a sound on the pavement, has the moon lost her memory she is smiling alone. in the lamp light the withered leaves collect at my feet, and the wind begins to moan!" not "Daylight. see the dew on the sunflower, and a rose that is fading. Roses whither away like the sunflower. I yern to face to the dawn. i am waiting for the day..." It doesn't even fit the song! Please show Andrew Lloyd Webber some respect and get the lyrics right!
Other than that great story line with very little errors! Are Carlisle and Esme going to be in this FF?
| The Soapbox Writer chapter 2 . 2/4/2010
To begin with:
"His white half-mask hid the right side of his glorious face. In no way was he disfigured or ugly. That wasn’t why he hid his face. The Phantom wasn’t vain, but neither was he blind. That darkness inside him, that Vampire that constantly controlled his actions, was the reason he was so achingly beautiful."
No! You can't be serious! He hides his face because he's beautiful? As opposed to a man who hides his face because he's ugly, like he was supposed to be?
The Phantom of the Opera is a story about unrequited love. It isn't about a beautiful blood sucking pixie who falls in love with a girl, whose affections are returned, and turns everybody into blood sucking pixies, too!
I don't know why every twilight/Phantom of the Opera crossover is like this.
You might not like the real ending, but that's the point. It isn't supposed to be happily ever after for him.
It isn't even a real love triangle. Christine didn't love the phantom. She was forced to choose so he wouldn't hurt Raoul. It was NEVER a matter of who she loved more.
And why bring Twilight into it?
Edward isn't the phantom, or Raoul. Jacob isn't the phantom, or Raoul. And Bella is certainly not Christine!
