I really enjoyed this totally different story of a totally different Harry Potter mentored by Severus Snape.
I like how you made Draco good and included Hermione and Neville as good secondary characters.
I'm glad you sorted Harry into...I'm not telling the reviewers, they have to read the story themselves.
I'm sorry that I found out the author did die in 2016, but I'm happy that they at least wrote a sequel to go with this perfect storyline.

So far I'm finding the story quite good.
I haven't read many stories where Snape mentors Harry all the way in first year. So this is refreshing.

The amount of people here with no reading comprehension! Yes, characters can be biased. Snape is clearly written as a balanced character here. Props to the author for not writing yet another saint Severus and evil evil bully James. He is clearly selfish in some intentions, possessive of Lily and always sees James in the worst light. You know... Like cannon. Yet he isn't some one dimensional irredeemable monster either. And Quirrel is possessed by Voldermort right now, why would he be kind to muggles?

And Petunia is hypocritical too, she is saying that "freak" deserve to die. Not so different by Snape who joined a party of Muggle haters
BTW I LOVE how you put Snape in comparing Harry's childhood to his one, so that he stops immediately with his bias "HarryJames". I am so sorry that e had no doubt in the canon, once he saw Harry's past in the boy's memories during occlumency lessons

Dumbledore had an opportunity to perhaps change or at least affect Riddles path but he squandered it with his prejudicial actions.
I think the whole 'Slytherins are bad' b.s. gets down to the conditioning of a person always being told they're bad so they give up on being 'good' because no one will see them any other way nor give them a chance.
Dumbledore is horrifically 'dark' in his treatment of abused children... he directly had access and interactions with Riddle and let him down, Snape and let him down and then Harry and deliberately set him up in a abusive home.
Leads me to believe that prophecy might be about Dumbledore and he pushed it off on Tom just due to his hubris that he's a self-proclaimed 'Light Lord' and thus is never wrong.
With all Albus' titles he is ruling the British magicals and is working toward the international, but he does almost nothing with that positive with that power, just hordes it.

Given Dumbledore isn't from a wealthy family, he had to get funding for his war from somewhere.
What better place than a wealthy, gullible pureblood Potter he has great influence over?
I bet he was working on Sirius Black to get some of that wealth too?
Voldie did the same with the Malfoy, LeStrange and other pureblood families he held sway over?
Too bad Dumbledore didn't use his influence when Riddle was younger to steer him to a different path.
