I think I get it; the Immortal/dead part is in the eyes of Sonic's fans (who will either love him always or forget him in hard times), and the title and summary tell us to enjoy Sonic while he lasts, because he might not last forever. Correct? Keep up the good work.

Brilliant work. It took me a minute to understand why Sonic would be saying these things about himself, but I think it has something to do with his saving people for his own satisfaction and not for their own good.
