Reviews for Storm & Black Panther in Through the Looking Glass
Kikyogirl15 chapter 7 . 4/29/2015
Your stories just get better and better. I enjoyed the history, the importance South Africa played in being the last destination on her campaign list, the quote from President Nelson Mandela was simply great, R.I.P Mandela, the history, the time shift just everything. This was a great story. I thought of how other authors, even me, would have dragged out the story to about 20 or so chapters, but I like the fact that you completed it in 7. You didn't drag it out, you kept with consistently telling the story and fleshing out the characters. I am going to try not to leave such long reviews on your work. The children I enjoyed. I liked each of their personalities, even Ashake whose youthful childlike presence in one chapter felt complete and not left out. Keep up the great work!

For some reason, I just coudn't get into like the others. Got about 2/5 of the way through. Strange. Of course, universe hoping is something of a fic killer for me these days- I don't even like my own fics where I used it anymore.
Captain Deadpool chapter 2 . 8/21/2010
I actually had this conversation with someone else- how could the child of two superhumans have both parents abilities and exceed them in power and skill before they're even out of their teens? You have to admit, it does seem rather silly. I think their child in Next Avengers made more sense.

I'm not trying to put you down or anything, it just became something of a sore point for me you understand.
Captain Deadpool chapter 1 . 8/21/2010
I feel the need to defend the honor of the U.S. of A. again. Don't take it the wrong way.

A Wakandan system like the one you describe wouldn't work so well for us. Unlike fictional Wakanda (though it shares this trait with some real nations), we don't have ethnic or religeous solidarity. As a result, bickering and arguing is hard to avoid. The downside to their system is it makes the people of Wakanda so xenophobic that Arizonians can sympathize with them. And like border states, their fears are not unfounded. As for polution, Wakanda is not only smaller but has a wealth of recourses, leading to both technological and fiscal wealth. They can afford to develope fossil feul free energy sources. And remember- smaller country, easier to care for everyone, easier to transition when necessary.

Of course, it's sadly fictional.
