And this is how you write Draco Malfoy.
Standing ovation to you, honestly. This is exactly how a slytherin/malfoy would go about things, i think. I love this, ive honestly read this a number of times and keep coming back. Its about time i review/favorite dont you think?
Seriously though, every moment of this was perfect, i love being in dracos head, so many people slaughter his personality though, this was so nice to read and so on point.

Awesome story, Draco used subtle manipulation and no-manipulation to achieve his goal. It was always up to Harry and only Harry to fall for him. He really love Harry and wanted him to realise he loved him and choose him, not imposing him his love. I found that somethat noble. He know perfectly Harry and unlike others, even Ron and Hermione, he realized that Harry would only love a person who show themselves without a mask and that he needed to see them first as a friend and be in confiance with them.
I think Harry dated Ginny because it was easy, because he had the conviction she see him as Harry and not the BWL and it was a way to be a Weasley. But I'm not sure she really see him beyond his fame, she loved him before meeting him and her attitude is full of arrogance. She broke because she make a tantrum and wanted him to do all the compromises (their jobs) and after their separation, she dated to have fun and try to make him jealous. She had exactly the same comportement at school when she dated others boys to have fun and make Harry realize she was desirable.
Ron seems to see that she's still a capricious little girl, but she's his little sister and he probably think she had the right to be. I wouldn't be surprised if he want more to have Harry as brother and please his sister (and don't have to deal with his sister's sentimental life) than his best friend's happiness. He's wary of Draco, but more because he's Draco and still don't trust him enough.
In the other hand, Hermione's attitude is more aggressive and disturbing. She don't like or trust Draco, and think he want to manipulate Harry, but she's isn't fine enough to see that Draco really love Harry. She still act her bossy self like in school and is convincted she know that is best for Harry. I remarked that Hermione insisted that she think a lot a women are better that Draco for Harry (citing a fangirl who was willing to murder an Auror, a fact that show her lack of judgement) while she know Harry's bi. I wonder if she's more wary to see her friend with his ex-nenesis or with a man ?

Your characterisation of Draco is excellent. I also liked where Harry walked in on Hermione discussing him with Draco.

Draco is so patient. I love reading about his internal reaction to their conversations that aren't betrayed by his external reactions. This promises to be a gorgeous fic :)

I love Draco's slyness. While I like honesty, Draco's manipulations are not without honour and consideration towards Harry, so I absolutely loved them. I don't know how many times I went, "Oh, Draco..." and laughed half-exasperated, half-amused throughout this story.
