This was fun. I like seeing the team dynamics from an outside pov- I'm quite used to their bantering by now, so it's fun to see someone new to it trying to figure out whether they hate each other or not *g*.

That was great. I really needed a little something to get me through the wait between Instinct and its sequel. You write the NCIS characters extremely well, better than anyone else I've ever read. I also think the quotes you picked from Kipling were very well thought out, and I cant get the idea out of my head that Gibbs should have some kind of coffee mug with the line at the end(about 'the word of your Head Wolf is Law') written on it. It just fits so well.

Ah, sorry it took so long to review. I've been wandering in Doctor Who land for a while.

Glad you updated and totally LOVE the group solidarity. The idea that Ms. Director told someone (even with cleareance) about him is just another thing to check off about her presumption. *sigh* Still, the interaction between their pack is priceless! heh.

The thing I love most about this story though is how well the "pack instincts" fit them as a whole, how much the team is already operating like a pack, to defend each other from any outsiders, long *before* Tony's abilities were discovered. It gives such a fun explanation too for why they're allowed to squabble amongst *themselves*...but let someone else from the outside become a threat to one of them, and oh, boy...look out. *g* Anyway...I have great love for short stories that take a theme and round it out so cleverly. Just excellent. :)

And sorry I'm so late in reviewing; have been hideously busy with school, and am procrastinating even now...
