|Reviews for The Curse That Killed Thousands|
| Sorasdream chapter 1 . 1/14
I really liked reading this story. There so many parts that I thought were well done. Honestly, I could imagine Snape killing Sirius in front of Hermione and Harry and that setting Hermione off.
I'm glad that Hermione and Harry got away when they did, it's obvious that a canon dumbledore is always going to be a MOB, but this dumbles was ruthless. Of course Ron will always be a jealous prat and I'm sure Ginny would most likely be out of control, with that harridan of a mother of theirs.
Most of your story flowed pretty well together, and it was a semi-realistic depiction of what could have happened. I think that makes your story all the more enjoyable in my books.

LOVE Hermione silencio-ing that harpy Molly Weasley.
And LOVE her rant at Dumbles.
Yay! for Dobby obeying her and taking Harry away.
Hermione should have kicked Snape in the bollocks instead of the face, though.
Yay! for locking those gits up in the infirmary, Hermione.
That tattoo on Winky the house elf scared me a bit: it reminded me of the tattoos on Holocaust survivors.
The mental pic of Winky glaring at Dobby and chewing him out was very cute and funny.
Hermione's parents sound wonderful, and so quick on the uptake, too.
LOVE the grin on Hermione and Dobby's faces.
AW! at everything Dobby said in answer to Hermione's "Mistress" question.
The idea of a house elf swooning was very amusing.
"unsealing of your parent's will" - "unsealing of your parents' will".
Snape WISHES (regarding Hermione's punishment) as does Dumbles (regarding his planned cover up of Sirius Black's death).
Get out of there? Like I said previously, the both of you WISH!
Harry and Hermione's safety? A likely story!
YOU WISH, Dumbles, about the Potter money for your war.
LOVE the contents of Rita Skeeter's articles for The Prophet.
Yay! for the ICW firing Dumbles,
Yay! for Gred and Forge's intentions.
"my parent's Secret-Keeper" - "my parents' Secret-Keeper".
Yay! for prof. Flitwick.
And yay! for Amelia Bones, for at least not lying to Harry like all of the others who intruded on their island did.

Thank you for the story. I enjoyed Hermione's hissy fit, probably the best part.
| Lady Cougar-Trombone chapter 1 . 6/26/2013
Wow...While very long, it was a very good story. While many got what they deserved, many others were slaughtered for no reason. It was a great story and very thought provoking.
Keep up the good work.

An interesting twist at the end of GoF with Snape murdering Sirius in the hospital ward in front of Harry and Hermione causing her to over-react when Dumbledore tries to sanction it. Good that Harry and Hermione got away but with her parents working for intelligence. They could have ordered the cleaners in to purge the magical world of Dumbledore, Voldemort and the bigots.
Thanks for sharing your story. Please continue to write.

I just read a third year fic where Snape tried to do something similar, but luckily without succeeding. I haven't seen anyone use the exact divergence used here, but it certainly have posibilities. It was nice to see Rita's powers being used for good... Or something close enough :-) The many uses of memory charms are pretty chilling, and even though the Greengrass thing was only a footnote, that kind of implications are always a bit disturbing to read, I would really have liked for Snape to get his just deserts on screen, so to speak.
Nicely written all in all, and I hope to see more Potter-fics from you in the future.
