The One Who Stares at Walls chapter 34 . 9/30 It's funny to look back at this fic and see how it introduced the Ria Sekitan OC to the fandom. The fandom clearly fell in love with the character, considering how many other fics she went on to appear in, but it seems to me that the main takeaway was "Stunningly gorgeous, manipulative dominatrix sex fiend", because basically none of those writers were actually reading this fic closely enough to realize how it actually portrays Ria. To my eye, without drawing attention to it, the fic successfully portrays Ria as really having nothing going for her aside from her strength and looks. Beyond that, she's petty, vindictive, pointlessly cruel and, most importantly, she's not actually all that smart. She evangelizes the value of being patient and subtle and not using force when other methods are available or possible, yet her methods show her as being basically incapable of doing such; nearly everything she does to achieve her ends is direct force in one way or another, and she's equally incapable of considering that her methods aren't actually working. Most damningly, she accepts Tsukune's challenge to her, where he ends up defeating her, because she's so arrogant and convinced of her own perfection that it never even occurs to her that Tsukune might be holding his cards close to his chest until she's in a position that she can't get out of. The one who actually vindicates Ria's claims about direct force often being insufficient is, ironically, Tsukune himself. Every time he tries to deal with Ria via brute force, he fails miserably. It's pretty clear that the "Mighty" in this story's title isn't referring to Tsukune being physically powerful, but in being willing to take actions that Ria and others wouldn't anticipate, such as NOT using force. All his successes in the story come from that, and it's the result of such decisions that let him defeat Ria. It's all quite cleverly done. Shame that the fandom totally misunderstood it... |
Ariadne Venegas chapter 34 . 1/11 Harmless my ass |
Gold Testament chapter 4 . 2/2/2023 That was the real Inner Moka the whole time. |
Gold Testament chapter 3 . 2/2/2023 I kinda feel bad for Tsukune atm. |
Weird chapter 22 . 2/19/2021 I have no issue with drama or angst but the problem starts when you invent some realllllllyyyy convoluted and contrived bullshit to justify weird ass drama for drama's sake. This is the third fic of yours I tried reading and quit midway and by now I have a suspicion you are autistic or something to that effect. The way you justify certain behaviors or logic and the scenes you invent just boggle my mind |
Guest chapter 34 . 9/26/2020 Fafnir is probably inpregnating Ria within a Month maybe you should make a story Ria pov as Fafnir maid |
Marcus chapter 21 . 9/24/2020 Turning this into a harem was stupid, but having your main character raped by his sister in law was just retarded. |
