Kai chapter 1 . 12/16/2019 That conversation between Draco and Albus that you took from canon verbatim except for the location is a minefield that..., after all those years I still can't get over it that Rowling gave us that scene. The first is that Draco took almost a year (and he tried several other plans when he didn't succeed for so long) to get the Death Eaters into Hogwarts. It would've been so easy if he had a brain and weren't almost as inbred as the Gaunts. He could have welcomed his lord and all the minions, Death Eaters, dementors, werewolves, vampires, giants, doesn't matter, all of them, at the gate to the school grounds on September first right before the feast and led them into the Great Hall. They could've massacred the teachers and the guys, taken away the girls to rape them to death later, and the task would've been a success. What would've kept them from doing that? For six books (including events that are referred to but happened years or decades earlier) everyone and everything has access to the school. Death Eaters, dementors, illegal animagi, dark artefacts, dark lords, giants and monsters, lots of them, and quite a few Class XXXXX monsters among them. There are wards, that's canon, because Dumbledore has to deactivate one in the Great Hall for the apparition lessons. But they don't do ANYTHING else obviously. And then Dumbledore admits that he knows about the other murder attempts. He did exactly NOTHING to prevent them or to help his students out of Draco's shit. That both Ronald and Katie didn't die was not an accomplishment of the ancient goat fucker. It was pure luck. So, he sits in his tower and lets one student murder other students at will, not punishing the Death Eater bitch ever, and what? Did he sit there and chuckle because again a stupid Gryffindor was in the way and almost was murdered by the little shit? He's proven over the years that he doesn't give a shit about the lives of his students, but letting a murdering student run rampant? And it WAS luck. Draco has no problem with murdering someone. He has PROVEN that beyond doubt. Both the mead and the locket didn't reach Dumbledore but they almost killed someone and it was not because Draco hesitated at the last moment. He had set the attempts in motion and was elsewhere when they triggered but failed. And he's very quick with casting the Killing Curse (AND the Cruciatus. AND he uses the Imperius successfully.) as a reflex. You need to MEAN doing damage to be able to use the Unforgivables. Or must be VERY experienced and comfortable with casting them to be able to not need to concentrate on your hatred. The question that comes up AGAIN during that scene that an observant reader must ask himself, is: Is Dumbledore completely senile? Or is he evil? If he doesn't understand what happens around him the first is probable. If he does his intentions can't be good. Or is the redemption of one rich pureblood worth the lives of hundreds of mudbloods, halfblood freaks and blood traitors? It seems like that. I just say: a known child murderer and cannibal, full moon or not, running free IN A SCHOOL because of Draco's actions. Greater Good my arse! |
adamantiumsleep chapter 19 . 12/4/2019 Really, really nice H/Hr relationship. Loved the wonderful Potter family interactions. Some plot holes are rather blatant though. What's with Regulus and the locket? How did they never think of protecting the Longbottoms or Lunas mother. The whole potion thing was so forced, why not try bringing a sample home first? The leap of staying passive the potters made after overhearing was quite hard to follow. Then the fidelius, was pettigrew the secret keeper? Were they let in? Why not plan with Lily to make sure harry did actually go back instead of relying on an off chance? Aah. Very good story though, I recommend a read for the relationship. PS: Jesus, her fake name! Why keep that, the agent would never see them again. |
G the Headmaster chapter 19 . 10/31/2019 Great story. Thanks for writing it and sharing it with us readers! |
G the Headmaster chapter 14 . 10/31/2019 I knew that would happen! |
G the Headmaster chapter 1 . 10/30/2019 This seems like an inventive story. |
madie080802 chapter 19 . 7/22/2019 This was a joy to read, congrats on a solid story. M080802 |
OptimalWit chapter 2 . 7/2/2019 I don't understand the logic behind their concern of a paradox with respect to the Ring Horcrux. If Dumbledore being too weak to travel back in time because of the effect of the curse is the reason why he can't travel back in time, which is therefore the reason why Harry and Hermione had to do it instead, and destroying the ring before Dumbledore gets to it would nullify that reason to send H/Hr back in time and create a paradox, then wouldn't Harry and Hermione's time travel and manipulation of events prevent the need for anyone to travel back in time in the first place, thereby creating another paradox? Why would going back in time to ensure Voldemort's downfall, which would result in a future where time travel wasn't necessary, not create a paradox while them destroying the ring instead of Dumbledore would? The logic really doesn't follow. |
Pointer3109 chapter 9 . 6/8/2019 Chap 9 I am curious why they're screwing around with the water when they flew into the area on a broom. |
RightnWrong chapter 1 . 6/4/2019 My all-time favourite time travel fic, as good as you are my density. Thank you so much for writing this. I hope one day you complete part 2. |
Butterfly chapter 1 . 3/17/2019 I always hated Dumbledore and Snape more than Dursleys. |
Guest chapter 14 . 1/15/2019 I’m actually horrified hat you have an alpha/beta team of 3 people and the MULTIPLE grammatical errors that are found. There are 4 of you reading this and NONE of you know how to use its or it’s, loose or lose, to or too. Seriously, not one of the 4 of you thought at all about RUNNING A SPELLING AND GRAMMAR CHECK? Seriously? Wow...just wow. Soooooo done with your stories. Sheesh. |
Guest chapter 3 . 11/10/2018 Well that's dumb. Here they are going to the past with the intention of changing things and now they...don't want to change things? That's so dumb. Really, like super-dumb. RIP PETTIGREW'S SLEEVE OFF AND PROVE HE'S A DE ALREADY! UGH! If they take out the horcruxes then kill Voldemort then there's no NEED for Lily's "mother's protect their kid by dying" bullshit in the first place. Dumb. So damn dumb. *gripe-fest temporarily over* I love the bonding bits between Harry and his parents, and I hope Remus and Sirius, too. |
tyrannicpuppy chapter 18 . 10/23/2018 What a great story. Such a brilliant idea. Every time travel story I've read to date has them send their memories or consciousness back and then living on from there. This is so different from them it's so refreshing. And I loved his well thought out plan for the final assault. Great story and I'm so happy there is a sequel in the works. |
tyrannicpuppy chapter 11 . 10/23/2018 I have been waiting for them to slip up or the Potters to rumble them in their own way. And here at last it has happened. So curious as to how the Potters will react now. And when Harry will just give in and confess he loves Hermione, Ginny be damned. |
SteckerHater chapter 19 . 10/1/2018 Such an underrated fic, have never heard of it until yesterday and had finishe it in one go, I simply couldn't put it down. A very unique take on time travel unlike most other pics that tend to send the main characters through the veil or some nonesense ritual and be done with it. I'll be recommending this for those looking for a good H/Hr from now on, cheers. |
