wow. this was a roller coaster from start to finish. A truly excellent story! the character development, the plot, I really enjoyed it!

As sad as I remain about Padme's death, it is such a joy to see Anakin and Obi Wan together again. their banter, their bond... you write them so well! I love that they get to be a family.

I'm an optimist, and even if things might never have been the same between her and Anakin, I still think there would have been something worthwhile of her living to see her husband's redemption and asking for her forgiveness. Bittersweet, rather than tragic. Now I remember why I stopped reading this story years ago. I feel stronger, I guess, now, to go through the pain, but a bitter light has been cast on this story with her death.

This is an absolutely beautiful fic! Obi-Wan and Anakin have a really complicated relationship and your dynamic for them is fantastic! The Jedi struggle with attachment is something I'm so glad you dug into-the lines where you talked about the Code demanding perfection from imperfect beings was just *chef's kiss*. The final fight with Sidious was really satisfying, and your interpretation of Ventress was very interesting (in a good way, I promise!). The twins are delightful, and I always imagined them that way-looking like one parent and taking after the personality of the other. Basically I loved everything about this fic! thank you so much for writing!

Alas, the Jedi are right on the subject of love. Padmé claims that love didn't push Anakin to the dark side, fear of loss did. But, fear of loss couldn't exist without love/attachment. Love leads to passion, itself exposing us to darker emotions and pain. While the Jedi may not be entirely right, the Sith certainly are not. One is constipated when it comes to emotions, and the other is consumed by them. Unfortunately, only the one who's consumed is dangerous. That's why just anyone cannot be a Jedi.
