HallowedExistence chapter 8 . 7/2/2020
At this point I don't even care to see Anakin be redeemed, it isn't possible. I just want him to die horribly.
Wolfman217 chapter 4 . 5/26/2020
Why the fuck is it ALWAYS about Luke? In EVERYTHING, LUKE is ALWAYS the special one, the Uber powerful embodiment of the light and goodness and all that crap, while Leia is just a secondary concern.

Even from the moment hearing the names, Leia doesn't get a second mention or any attention, it's ALL about LUKE.
Maya Chain 23 chapter 6 . 4/21/2020
Anakin's ratio of bad vs good decisions this week is now of a swooping 500 to 4, let's hope this streak continues.
Maya Chain 23 chapter 4 . 4/21/2020
People who can't take criticism sleep on the couch, Anakin.
Bartholomew-Cubbins chapter 27 . 3/6/2020
I can't believe I finished this fic in a day. It's been a long time since this happened with one that long. I have to tell you that although I love Obi-Wan, Anakin and the ship among them, this felt completely organic, natural and beautiful. The relationship between them, Anakin corrupted by the Dark Side, the suffering and torture that caused both Padmé and Obi-Wan, the feelings he had for both, everything felt completely real and authentic because I am sure that is what Anakin would do to not lose them. Despair, anxiety and terror felt completely true. I laughed with the moments of joy and especially with the jokes between Obi-Wan and Anakin in the death star and the conversation of Luke and Leia along with Ani and Obi, but I also cried with the conversation between the two in the cell, the reunion between the twins and Obi-Wan, and the reunion between Anakin with the twins and Obi-Wan. I am crying now and I can assure you that it is one of the best I have read in my life.
Helios7406 chapter 1 . 1/31/2020
Obi-Wan still has it better than Anakin did, if he had ever loved Anakin he should have killed him on Mustafar instead of amputating all his limbs and leaving him to burn.
I-OfTheHawk chapter 27 . 10/24/2019
Amazing!
sujingsu chapter 26 . 7/14/2019
I...should not underestimate my ability to binge read—I read this in one day, and it was so good. I've only just started reading Star Wars fics, but I loved this so much that I'm definitely going to search for more now. The relationship depicted between Anakin and Obi-wan is everything I never knew I needed. Obi-wan's unwavering support, the depth to which their relationship is explored, along with (both) their past errors, as well as Obi-wan's new stance on attachment and love by the end...just, wow.

Both parts of this story were compelling, and I was hooked from the very start. The premise was intriguing and so believable, too, that Obi-wan could have been unable to strike Anakin down. I have to admit that I was disoriented at first, surprised by being immediately thrown into Obi-wan's imprisonment, but once I figured out where we were (this is probably attributable to how long it's been since I actually watched the films lol), I really enjoyed the style of narration and how well the flashbacks worked in showing what had happened. Anakin unsettled me in the beginning because it was hard to pin down what was going through his mind without seeing things from his POV, but it kept things tense, and I loved the conflict in his character. Also, I was thrown by Padme's death, but because it was meaningful, I find that I don't mind in the end.

Some other points that stood out to me are:
The idea that Anakin would have fallen fully if Obi-wan and his children had died along with Padme—which, in a way, is what did happen in canon (since his children were lost to him, plus the perceived betrayal by Obi-wan more or less made Obi-wan dead to him)—is thought-provoking.
The family dynamic in part two was lovely. I especially liked the characterisation of young Luke and Leia and the observation that they were like their parents but with personalities and appearances swapped.
Also, just, I so agree about Anakin having to suffer some sort of fallout for his actions even after being redeemed. Part of me wishes there was more about that, because seeing how Yoda, Ventress, and the Organas reacted to him was really interesting (and how differently, too).

Thank you for writing this!

HedgehogJedi chapter 27 . 12/28/2018
Incredible story! Don’t get me wrong, I’m a huge fan of the Prequels but this is WAY better than the end of Revenge of the Sith. I love how you portrayed the relationship between Obi-Wan and Anakin.
LoveWistfully chapter 11 . 11/3/2018
HOLY FRICK
Lamelinam chapter 7 . 9/30/2018
That... was one intense chapter.
I think the part I read again and again and I found perfect as the tipping point for all s**t to go down was when "Slowly, so deliberately and with such strength that he's reminded of the queen she was when they first met, she faces him. There's overwhelming dignity and bravery in her stance, and he loves her even now, even as he hates her for hurting him like this. "
Amalthia chapter 27 . 6/27/2018
I had a great time reading your story! I loved the character voices and seeing how far Anakin fell. I got tears in my eyes a few times and I'm glad it had a happy ending.
Anonymous chapter 27 . 3/17/2018
