![]() ![]() This story is so good but this chapter ahhhh it broke my heart! Mad mad mad can’t believe it! Screaming right now |
![]() ![]() ![]() Thanks for writing this. You created such a good story, with amazing characters and I read through it in two days. I just couldn't stop. And it is so good written. Even the side characters were so fleshed out and I really felt with them. It was a remarkable journey and the ending was great. |
![]() ![]() ![]() This is probably the twentieth time that I've finished re-reading this story over the years, and each and every time I'm surprised at your amazing writing skills and your ability to create interesting, realistic and - frankly, in Portia's case - badass characters; that all of this is done while also giving them flaws only makes the whole experience even better. Every time it's a journey that I'm ever so glad to have undertaken, and I'm left feeling both sad and satisfied at the end of such a stunning piece. I sometimes wish we'd gotten another 48 more chapters, because anyone would wish to prolong experiencing perfection, but even if I'd have loved to read more, especially about Portia's future, I can't deny that the ending you gave us fits perfectly. As you wrote, an ending can make or break a story, and this is a clear case of the former. I'm sure in several months I'll swing by here once more. In the meantime, thank you for sharing this marvellous work. P.s.: For whatever reason, I noticed that this story was not in my favourites? Wtf. Remedied straight away, in any case. |
![]() ![]() ![]() Just finished rereading this again, I actually don't know how many times I've read this stories now, and I'm as in love with it as I was the very first time. You really have a way of making the people in it so alive, and my only regret is that there isn't another 48 chapters for me to read and be spellbound with. Thank you for writing this and sharing it. |
![]() ![]() ![]() Gilthan nooooooooooooooooooooooo! |
![]() ![]() ![]() I know this is prolly late but I just found your story :) I'm really liking the plot in chapter 2 and totally cant wait for what's to come. Sneaking in to Oblivion? Stealing from a Daedric Prince? That sounds impossible, but a definite story of a lifetime, if not one for the gods |
![]() ![]() ![]() Hello. So, I've read the whole story. I liked it a lot. To be honest, when I first started reading it, I was very skeptical. I expected to see another Mary Sue and I didn't believe that anybody can ever pull a romance (or "romance", as it didn't have that much in common with sweet classic romance) with a daedric prince off convincingly. But what a surprise! You have. It was completely convincing. I'm surprised that you were going to school while writing this fic (as I understood from your notes). Your style doesn't betray your age at all, and I don't mean your writing style, but rather the thinking processes of your characters. They were adult and mature. It's also very refreshing to see a fic not entirely focused on one character and fleshing out quite a few of the others. And of course I liked the heroine. No Mary Sue and no sensitive damsel. It's strange that spiritually tough heroines are rare in fanfiction. What I mean is that in many fics the heroine is skillful, talented with swords or magic, but she isn't mentally tough or mature enough, which makes her feel like a damsel, just with powers. If that makes sense. Thumbs up and good luck with any of your upcoming projects! May the Muse never leave you. |
![]() ![]() ![]() Damn... Talk about adrenaline pumping suspense! For a moment there I really thought she was going to die! Ahhhh, the nerves! But oooh... the emotion in this chapter, the struggle! Damn, well done! I even grew a little misty eyed while reading Portia's emotional conflict! Poor girl carries so much! I want to give her a hug and then turn around and flip the bird to Mehrunes and especially Ruined Clock, the bastard! |
![]() ![]() ![]() NO! NO! WHAT THE FUCK! NO! I REJECT THIS CHAPTER! IT DOESN'T EXIST! NOO! NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! God FUCKING damn it! *Sobs wretchedly* Mehrunes, you asshat! I hate you, your four armed prick! |
![]() ![]() ![]() No... NO! NOOOOO! So. Cruel! This is a Mehrunes Dagon/OC story, damn it! But then you give us a character like Gilthan! I have NEVER grown attached so fast to a character before! ARGH! Then you hint at a TRIANGLE! Don't you know triangles are EVIL! Why do I feel like Mehrunes is going to pull a possessive-bastard move and kill Gilthan... Again... NO! Nope! No! He's fucking ADORABLE! You can't touch the adorable ones! And dear LORD! I need to wash my eyes out with soap AND my mind because just the thought of Horace doing the nasty is enough to make me want to retch my guts out. The entire time I was reading that scene my mind was ceaselessly saying 'Ewww'. Yuck! Blargh! Blah! Ewwwwwwwwwwwwwww! That ending made me shiver! Watch out Portia! |
![]() ![]() ![]() Oh. Shit... I feel like some hopeless, horrified bystander watching two trains set on a collision course with each other! Ahhh! What's going to happen!? They're probably going to meet and then... and then... ARGH! Crap, Gilthan will be going too! Swear to God if anything happens to him I will die! He has to be one of the MOST likable OC's I've EVER read in any story! I immediately liked him! I hope he doesn't die. Characters I tend to like die... Gods, the dread... *Clicks Next button warily* |
![]() ![]() ![]() It's my second time reading this, last was, I believe, about maybe 5-6 years ago when I was obsessing over fanfics. It is even better than I remembered it, being that I now can grasp the plot, the characters, all of it in a slightly different way (more maturely I hope, lol). But one feeling remains the same at the end of it - I just can't. I can't with this story. I mean, what do I do now? I cried over Gilthan. I laughed out loud several times when Portia out-smarted our beloved smug prince (their rematch sent me through a roller-coaster of emotions). I've been endlessly thrilled, captivated and impressed with the dialogue, attention to detail, quality and just the whole of this story, all the little pieces and sides of it coming together so well. Never too naive nor overly dark. How do I say this... just, thank you! For this story, which by the way has done a very good job at keeping me from well-needed studies, which is the only thing I'm mad about regarding this fic. I honestly wish I could find your story-telling in genuine book stores. This will, probably always, stand out as one of the most exemplary, exciting, well-written fics. I'm just sad I have to return to the regular world now. |
![]() ![]() I've read this a few times over the years, always a great read! Thank you for sharing it. |
![]() ![]() ![]() Come on Portia! All the signs are there! |
![]() ![]() ![]() It was killing me reading through those chapters, waiting for Portia to find out about Githlain. I hate it when good people die and their names forgotten by history. I am sure she will honor him. |
