I actually think Hermione has a point with being put out with Ron for not sharing how he did his animagus transformation so quickly. How many times has Hermione helped him academically over the course of their education at Hogwarts? Plus, he could use Hermione, Harry, and Ginny as test subjects to see if his method worked for others to improve his NEWT paper. He's being petty and selfish... he broke up with her, and he's acting like an ungrateful prat! Hermione deserves better than that!

I wouldn't really say "protect me from myself", in the sense that she is not trying to force him to change or patronize him as if she had all the answers, she is simply being there for him and listening, while telling him something true: namely that he has saved them and put an end to the horror he has witnessed in the Pensieves. Just like he is there for her and helps her see beyond her insecurities, making her appreciate how truly special she is, as well.

With regards to Voldemort's voyeurism, I was once again mistaken: the bit about your other fics I was thinking about was the part of Daddy Dearest where he was tortured and Voldemort left *that* alone because he liked to watch him "in action" from time to time, but it was not in the context of a revel -I mistakenly mixed the two together-.

I think that the Pensieves would be a much more reliable way to gather proof for future trials than merely a diary (in the case where he died before, having the memories stored away was a smart move).

With reference to a voyeur Voldemort watching Snape perform, I was once again mistaken about your other fic, I was thinking about Daddy Dearest,, in the part talking of Snape's torture, where the Dark Lord left that part of his anatomy intact because he liked to watch him "perform" on occasions, but there it was not in the context of a revel.

I liked how this dealt with both their points of view, the beginning about Hermione's perspective was very realistic, and even the bit about his desire to impress her and his fears and anxieties was very believable.

Actually, wrt to what Snape thought, the chapter says it all: "at least they are good for something"... Hilarious ;)

Snape seems to be a much easier alternative to meditation to achieve deep relaxation, from Hermione's description.
