no wonder Edward was so uptight about intimacy with bella. he must have retained the memory of lucy raping him in1918; because that's exactly what it was! poor Edward, feeling guilty over something that was never his fault. there isn't a seventeen year old boy on the planet that wouldn't get a hard on with a girl stroking him like that! sorry to be crude, but just think how mortified he must have been back then, thinking it was his fault, maybe even 'forcing himself" on her.

Wow this was some story. In many ways I think it was more like how it would have happened than in s. Meyer book. Edward would have on some level dreamed of this, it would not have all been so negative. Rather beautiful story, nice to enjoy some sweetness, some parts were just so lovely. Cute chapter. I saw someone's review saying that the Jacob situation was worse than Edward and Lucy's. That's a stupid comparison. Bella didn't get pregnant from Jacob. Not only that, yes Edward hit his head when Lucy pushed him but unless Lucy was a professional wrestler, I'm not sure how in the world she managed to force herself on him that way. He did respond and let her continue, there was penetration and she stopped when it hurt too much and he had already come inside her. It requires millions of sperm cells to fertilize an egg, not just one, so there had to be significant ejaculate for that to happen. So no, the Jacob and Lucy situation are nowhere near the same. Bella never put herself in that kind of situation with Jake.

Aw, so they do have a baby in this story, how sweet! I hope the birth isn't gruesome like in the original and I truly hope we don't go with the ugliest name known to man: Renesmee. I never understood why SM thought that was a good idea. Their reaction to the news was so sweet. I still felt a bit bitter because this is Bella's first and probably only child but it's Edward's second. Now seeing this isn't a first child for both makes it tough regardless that Edward had zero involvement in George's life. He had a little boy who looked like him already years ago. Oh well, I'm just going to have to deal with Edward having had his first child and sexual experience with someone else and not Bella.

This is a great story. I do love how these trials brought them closer together. It's a bit difficult to read because I don't like the idea that Edward already had a child with another woman. I had been hoping that they would discover it was a mistake but clearly it wasn't. I just think it now taints everything and when I keep reading about how well things are going for them I'm constantly thinking "but Edward already gave someone else the chance to have his child". I guess it's hard to read because Bella has been robbed of something precious she could never get back. I don't view Edward as a virgin since there was some penetration and semen released obviously. It's different from each perspective but that's how I see it. Edward had sex in some way and had a child with someone else. They're no longer equal in the experience department. I honestly don't know how Bella has been able to move forward with the wedding. I think it would have been enough for me to pause and put things on hold. Knowing she could never give him children but knowing another already has would make any woman stop and re-evaluate things.

That moment Edward had with his son was sweet. I felt sad for all three of them actually. George, an old man who never knew his father until now, Edward who is a father who never knew he had a son and Bella, a woman who in many ways, had the chance to give Edward a child stolen from her. After learning all this and then hearing Edward say he would have married Lucy if he's known about George has to be painful for Bella. I don't even know how she'll feel because all of this definitely changes their relationship. Personally, I think what Edward did with Lucy was sex. He would have had been inside her in some way to ejaculate in her. He has a family of his own from another woman, something Bella can't give him and should have been the one to give him that. But hearing that Edward would have married Lucy, although is the honorable thing to do, still must sting very badly. I can understand why she now felt like second best. And I think she should put some distance and take some time to think things through. This can't be something to forget and just move on. The man she loved, who she thought was a virgin like her actually isn't and had a child and has grandchildren.

Wow. I love all your stories and have read them all except this one. This is a real big blow to Bella. I'm a little annoyed that Edward would forget an actual arranged marriage. I understand the human memories that fade but this, especially that sexual encounter, was something conveniently forgotten? I think if it was, it was repressed from feelings of guilt. So yes, I do think he was dishonest with Bella and I feel for her because someone else had his child, something (depending which way this story hoes) she won't be able to do. Ugh, I really want to strangle Edward for forgetting this - when discussing sexual experiences, this memory should have resurfaced for him. Yes, I'm being stubborn and holding it against him.
