I love love love this storym i love how you intertwined it with canon and woved in a beautiful, slow burn romance. I love that Severus was true to character, he didn't just fall straight in love with her but over time with her actions and persistence. Thanks for sharing this story!

*standing ovation* I read this glorious epic in a single day and it's been a long time since a fic of this size kept me completely engrossed from start to finish. There's so much to love here: a delicious slow-burn kindled by mind magic that pays dividends when they become physically intimate as well, a believable and sympathetic treatment of both Harry and Ron, Hermione getting to be the only member of the trio in the Order (the necklaces!), that heartbreaking moment where Severus admits that he wants to live, Dumbledore's complex ruthlessness revealed, and a brilliant, determined Hermione bringing about so much more than Severus could have dreamed. I loved the empty spaces you filled with so much thought and care, from the effect of the Unbreakable Vow on Severus during the Sectumsempra incident, deficiencies in the Ministry's Apparition curriculum, uses and limitations of wards, Hermione's Amortentia smells, the Seven Potters, the implications of Dumbledore knowing wand and Hallows lore, Severus's relationship to the various Malfoys, and, well, if I listed everything that I found delightful and brilliant, this review would probably be as long as the story. I'm so very glad I finallly found my way to this wonderful story, and thank you so very much for the dedication, thought, and heart that you put into writing it. I know I'll be back to re-read. Bravissima!

Only thirty one chapters but the story was so great and intense, it feels like an another full length life. With ups and downs, joy and sadness, friendship and love.

You made a Severus/hermione fic and still had her sleep with fucking Ron? Really? A lot of people like the ss/hg pairing because of how illsuited Ron is for her. I liked this story until that point, it was never explicit in the books, I had faith you would follow that but you had to bungle it up. I refuse to read more of the story, good day!

Incredible story; thank you for writing it and finishing it over such a long period! Really appreciated the slow build of HG & SS's trust, rapport, and attraction, and I loved your creative re-imaginings (esp inner dialogue of the characters) on various canon scenes ("the fucking Erumpent horn!"... absolutely could see Hermione thinking that!).

It’s like nobody cares that Draco was trying to use the Cruciatus curse on Harry. That would at least have been a good excuse for why Harry would not be punished as severely.

Is everybody forgetting that Draco was trying to Crucio Harry first? As far as I’m concerned, he deserved anything Harry would have dished out.
