Very nice story, in keeping with the Black Jewels books!
| PyschKey chapter 25 . 12/7/2012
Thank you for writing this story! I caught the claiming of baby Orian when she showed up in Askavi and your writing has definitely done justice of their story.

love second gen fics!
| awu chapter 25 . 6/12/2012
It's so hard to find black jewels fanfic, let alone good quality completed fanfic to boot. It's a wonderfully well thought out storyline that stays true to the characters, and with enough suspense to ensure I finished it in one sitting. I can't wait to read the rest of your fanfic.

An excellent story of the 'next generation'. Saetan is my favorite character and you used him very well - the addition of Andulvar's Ebon-gray jewel was a masterstroke.
You have some minor misspellings and grammatical errors that you might want to go back and correct - things like 'discretely' instead of the correct 'discreetly'.
Out of all the second generation stories, I like this one the best. The recital of Daemonar's creative mischief as a child was brilliant and extremely funny!

Don't know if anyone has mentioned this, but:
Orian's curiosity was peaked.
The word you want is "piqued".

Easily one of the BEST BJT, fan written stories I've read. You have an amazing skill Lady. May The Darkness Embrace (and continue to Inspire) You.
| Pern Dreamer chapter 25 . 12/10/2010
This was amazing! I couldn't stop reading! (Good thing I'm not a witch or my town would have been trouble when went down)
Thank you for a very lovely, touching and believable story!
I'm off to find more of your writing.
| unice5656 chapter 25 . 11/13/2010
Very nice story. It has enough elements of the real Black Jewels universe to make it believable and for fans to like it, but you have your own twists that make it interesting as well.
| BelieveInImagination chapter 25 . 7/23/2010
Beautiful :) It's so difficult to find fan-fiction that is good - not only in the style of writing or in basic grammar in spelling, but good in a way that it resonates with and follows the rules of the stories it has sprung from. Fantastic job, and thank you!

wow just wow, awesome, no neyond awesome, i am impressed, i felt like i just read one of anne bishops short stories,i wish i could consoder this canon. you captured the blood perfectly and your politics were believable and well thought out. you created lovable and honourable characters, the next generation was just delicious and i would love to see a story about jaxin or tersa or kirian. the love story, crossing from friends to lovers, was also beautifully done. you are truly talented and im gonna go check out what else youve done and if tehres not more bjt i hope to see some in the future from you.

I have to say I'm incredibly impressed. This was nicely written, well laid out, and fits in well with all I've read so far.
I hope to enjoy more of your writing in the future!
| Jen Aaron chapter 6 . 5/14/2010
Love the story so far, just noticed a tiny typo towards the end of chapter 6
Some were never discovered, others ended with a walloping and/or extra chores for a month. It was usually worth. She leaned forward so that he was the only one that could hear her.
I think it should be "It was usually worth it."
A tiny little edit, but a fantastic story, time to get back to it!
| Alisha chapter 25 . 4/6/2010
I love your writing and fanfiction for these characters. I wish Anne Bishop could use your story it was perfect. And I have to say that my favorite image of Daemonar would be of him locking the High Lord in his study and then proclaiming that he now ruled Hell! Your writing skills are superb and I hope to read more from you.
| Sarra Ambrai chapter 25 . 3/22/2010
This was absolutely perfect, and I really, really mean that. I was stunned and pleased with each chapter and read the whole thing in one go...so there went my evening plans. Oh well. And honestly? Really REALLY honestly? I loved this so much more than even The Invisible Ring, or the Shadow Queen or Shalador's Lady. Don't get me wrong, I like those books A LOT and NOTHING can be better than the original trilogy when it comes to the Black Jewels books, BUT THIS WAS SO, SO PERFECT and what I always longed for in a sequel. Bravo!
