I wanna like this fic, but can't help ultimately hating it. More importantly, I hate its ilk, where the general plot is like, "the protagonists submit to unconscionable machinations of those doing evil deeds [and yes, stripping individuals of their freedom is inherently evil] yet are therein victorious, somehow, if you view the morality of the situation through my nonexistent lens of wisdom"

I feel like Kagome is being stubborn she don't want to let go of her feelings. And I suspect that she's already having feelings for Sesshomaru for some reason Kagome don't want to give up Inuyasha even though she knows he's not right for her and she is just like sesshomaru being just as he was in the previous chapters too stubborn to admit that they are falling in love

I just reread this story again for the first time in years. It has always been one of my favorite SessKag stories. There is a lot to enjoy in this story and I like that it takes it's time building up the relationship between the two. Well done!

We fall in love not only with the SessKag plot but the devotion of Izumi, the transformation of Kimiko, the comic relief from Kenichirou. I love it! Thanks again!

What a unique and beautiful story, I don’t believe there will be any other like this one! To show Sesshoumaru as imperfect, emotive, and free spirited behind his mask was something I didn’t think I’d appreciate so much. But I understand now, and I think it was a great depiction! [SPOILER ALERT TO ANYONE READING THIS BEFORE READING THE STORY] When they chose to leave behind Yoshimaru I had huge doubts too and I could tell how hard you worked to rationalize it. It was a twist I definitely didn’t expect but I love how you took your time developing their relationship in the present time. I’m glad I took the time to read it because initially I was skeptical about the whole chain thing, but your writing is great and this story is one I’ll remember for a long time coming. I felt like I was transported to a different place, in Kagome’s shoes as she lived through her palace life, school life, and ryokan life. Ive always wanted to live in a rural area and this made me want it even more now haha! Thank you so much for your effort and for writing this for us! It’s been 11 years since you began it and I’m here to tell you it is a timeless read that I’m sure I will come back to in a few years.
