I always come back to this story...
beautifully written. It tugs at my heart. I love these two, despite their toxic and reckless childhood and adolescent relationship. I hope you’re doing well, and thanks for this gem.

I can totally see Wuthering Heights in this story. And I absolutely love it. I've never understood Wuthering Heights when reading it in high school but I feel like this story makes it easier to understand...

This is an absolute gem! My hope is that the writer of this story is out in the real world enjoying a successful career as a writer. The story flowed incredibly well, and there was none of that 'oh this person said she deserves better I'll leave I'm not worthy' fluff. Edward dug in and progressed from his selfish, self loathing to someone that was going to prove himself, make better choices, and live his best life for his true happiness. Bella went from a broken, tragic soul and went for her true love. Because that is what true love does, it makes you stop running and it makes you want to be the best you. It doesn't allow doubt from others, or any doubt whatsoever, to cloud happiness. Please more like this!

I know it's been years since you completed this, but I hope you still read reviews.
I have a question- what was Esme's gift to Edward, was it the sapphire?
I loved this story. I devoured it whenever I got the chance to read. Read until the words blurred and my eyes shut of their own accord. It was like bittersweet poetry. So soulful. Full of pain, hurt, wistfulness, enduring abiding love, beauty and darkness. I felt both raw and restored by Esme's final days, having just recently experienced the unimaginable pain and loss of watching a most cherished best friend, a sister really stolen away by cancer. She was the most loving, vibrant person in every room, I miss her every day. Reading this in some ways was like a balm to my soul. The gentle, loving way in which you wrote about Esme, even as she faded away. Her Wake party was so wonderful. Thank you for sharing such a wonderful story, for keeping it up here eventhough it seems like you've left the Twifanfiction world. This was a real gift. Thank you, thank you. I'm literally wiping tears as I say goodbye to this heartfelt story.

Thank you for sharing such a fantastic story!

A talk long overdue.

I think Rose has got it, the booze lower his defenses enough, whilst boosting his courage to make those calls, those confessions. Maybe he so here up just a bit with the climax and feels so vulnerable and exposed that he ruins the experience with false cheap teasing.
