LOVE the way you describes Saya's urges and vampiric side, and how Alice understands and accepts her

This was a fantastic and entriging read that I absolutely loved. I've been looking for more of this pairing but you seem to be only one of two authors to have written a Saya/Alice fic. You gave the characters such depth and life, I wished you had directed the movie. I liked your assessment of Saya from Alices POV, but I cant help but think that the scales are more balanced than you think. Saya is a 400 year old warrior who has repressed her emotions for a 4 century long vendetta. Perhaps Saya is attracted to the raw emotion that Alice is able to express. She's forgotten how to feel. Saya needs Alice to remember what humans really are: raw emotion. I hope you continue this. This is the longest review I've ever written.

This chapter was wonderful.
"Hold her tight.
While you can."
I really loved the ending.
"Relationships should ideally be equal, but that ain't always the case, and, when you think about it, the Alice/Saya pairing is frighteningly lopsided."
Sad, but true.

Read this chapter, and you did a very good job!

A very nice chapter!
I do kinda disagree with this: "Not sure about the high-IQ part, but I think that in a realistic situation, a 400-year-old person would have nothing to do with a teenager, unless said teenager had above-normal maturity, intelligence and experience. There needs to be a meeting of minds!"
Similiar experiences, probably, if only to have some common ground from which to launch the relationship.
High IQ, probably not. Intelligent, yes, but remember there are a lot of different types of intelligence.
As for maturity, I think that varies according to individual tastes. I can absolutely see Saya wanting someone mature, but just because someone's four-hundred doesn't necessarily mean they want an equally mature partner. That may actually make them want an immature partner.
But that's just my opinion. _

Thank you for writing this! I've been looking for a story that features this pairing since I watched the movie.

I really liked this story, honestly. I've never been one for stories written in present tense, I've always had a preference for past tense myself just in terms of how it sounds. But I really enjoyed this and the style in which it was written.
I've been a fan of BtlV (the original anime movie) and Blood since being exposed to them, but one look at the live action movie trailer had me hiding from the film. Reviews were dire. And pretty much I kept clear of it. BUT, one night, deciding to watch nothing but bad horror movies and action flicks, I rented it along with the other movies and found...well...while not BRILLIANT it paid tribute to the original and was highly enjoyable.
I certainly enjoy seeing your take on the Alice/Saya relationship.
The Fourth Chapter I think is by far the best you've written. Honestly, the day a teenager even remotely begins to come to terms with their own insignificance and lack of perspective is a big moment; not to mention the fear and insecurity that must weigh her down as the situation dawns on her. It is an unequal relationship. Although I can also see how she's a breath of fresh air too.
I do like the fact that your characters aren't perfect, flawless beings. I truly do despise it that so many characters end up all acting the same, becoming perfect, flawless beings in a sappy-waste-of-time drama that will come out the same every time.
Your theories on how Saya was in fact subconsciously seeking her mother's approval have a lot to back them up. Honestly I can see it. It makes perfect sense.
While I know the odds are slim considering how long its taken for you to update, I'd love to see you continue the story.
btw, kudos for paying attention to the site rules. Even if other people ignore them, its not worth taking the risk.

It's a good fanfic, please keep writing! *-*

This is so good! Really well written, I'm enjoying it alot. Please write more! I actually really like Alice’s character the way you write her, like you said all the characters in the movie are painfully one dimensional but I think you have a real grasp on the her. I like how you don't ignore the massive gulf between the two characters total life experience, unlike.. ahem.. coughtwilightcough. It's so true, why are these characters together? I love how you're exploring that theme and questioning the reality of a mortal and immortal being loving each other. So all that being said please write more I’m really loving this fic!
| JTLegend88 chapter 4 . 8/11/2009
Please continue this story. This is really good.
| Fellow Sufferer chapter 3 . 7/5/2009
Hmm... seeing as Alice had to do almost all the reaching in this relationship, and Saya being extremely reluctant in returning younger girls affections (in the beginning), I can get how she (Alice) might think that Saya is still a virgin. Then again, it simply may be her being preoccupied emotional wreck, dealing with that little accomplished matricide issue she has...
Anyway, great work! Keep up! Please?
