| Amanthya chapter 1 . 1/31/2015
There are some stories that are so real and full of truth and sorrow, of possibilities lost and pain never healed, that they hurt you to read. This is one of them.
| XxXSmiles101XxX chapter 1 . 7/11/2014
Brilliant and sweet. Well done :)
| Rue chapter 1 . 4/10/2014
Aww this is beautiful! thank you I love how you describe Snape and the strange, almost new and ambiguous feeling that flourished in him, for Luna
| The Terrible Jester chapter 1 . 10/13/2011
beautiful. my heart has gone all tingling.
| pamelawright chapter 1 . 8/19/2011
Elegant. Touching. Thank you.
| Trellia chapter 1 . 7/22/2011
Utterly magnificent. A pairing of my two favorite HP characters explored in a beautiful, heartbreaking, sweet, and somehow canon-compatible way. Thank you for this gift of a fic. _
| AuroraMeansDawn chapter 1 . 6/10/2011
This was so beautifully written... I'm amazed - thank you so much for this wonderful fic.
| kiraglitter chapter 1 . 4/20/2011
(Know how to break someone's heart don't you?)
| minlin chapter 1 . 2/3/2011
Lovely, though rather sad.
| Bagge chapter 1 . 12/29/2010
Very well written interaction and portrait of two odd birds in a dangerous time. Snape's slow warming to Luna and growing dependence on her is believable and beautiful. Luna's detachment and piercing insight is true to her character, and the portrait she made of Snape was a fine climax of the story. Well done..
| Vanafindiel chapter 1 . 12/6/2010
Rather poetic, I believe.
| Salomedancing chapter 1 . 12/4/2010
I'm a bad reviewer. Bad, because even if I think a story is good, I can rarely find more to say than "Nice". And then I'm picky, and almost never like what I read anyway. But this story I love! Both Snape and Luna feels in character, but also unique. It is a wonderful love story, even more so because you keep it within canon so perfectly. I'm awed! I'm certain that I will need to read it again.
| Lilamedusa chapter 1 . 8/14/2010
Wow! I had be¿never read Luna and Snape, but you didi a good work out of it, I speccially loved this:
"Light seeks her out, pooling around her as she bows her head in concentration."
I love the whole 'Light seeks her out' I don't know why, it really wouched me. Like the rest of the story.
Thankyou for writing it! )
| 22Moons chapter 1 . 6/5/2010
This was almost EXCRUCIATING to read, but it was so beautiful. I kept hoping and hoping you'd deviate from canon, but at the same time knowing it would be a lesser story if you did.
"None of whom, none—does he have the slightest chance to save."
This line affected me so deeply, because it made me realize something about Snape that had never occurred to me before. Snape saves so many people - Harry (multiple times), Ron, Hermione, Draco. In the end, his is one of the sacrifices that saves everyone in the wizarding world. But he never, ever, experiences one moment of being the hero. He DIES without knowing that his life meant ANYTHING. It absolutely kills me.
| chocolatte-delight chapter 1 . 3/1/2010
...breathe, breathe-is what I'm telling myself. This is exquisite, gorgeous, wonderful. The prose generates just the perfect tone for this story and the story settles itself snug in the readers' mind. I was in awe by the many captivating metaphors and similes and everything! But what I loved the most, agh, what I loved the most... Snape, who was forced to endure the most dangerous job as a spy, coming to meet Luna, one of the strangest and most inquisitive witches to grace Hogwarts ground. Their first meeting is just perfect, and the many meetings after, just as much. This side of Snape-the one forced to endure his title of "Dumbledore's Killer"-and the many trials he faces as Headmaster is portrayed so wonderfully. Luna fits into this facade of his so well. Because she somehow just 'knows' that she's safe with Snape and the many admissions she gives him to "stay safe" is heart-warming.
I enjoyed this beginning to end, even with the rare pair of Snape and Luna. Lovely character interaction; getting this from Snape's point of view is so apt and so perfect!
