|Reviews for Lavender|
| HollBeth chapter 1 . 7/31/2011
I read this some time ago, but I guess I never reviewed - so sorry! But it stuck with me, and I just had to come over and read it again.
This is such a beautiful piece of fiction. While I wasn't there, it seems this could be ever so real for the time, too. Through someone else's eyes, we see how much Bella and Edward adore each other. We all love hearing from "them" in these varied stories, but without knowing their thoughts, you have beautifully illustrated how much they love each other, even in time where it seemed like it could have been fast, fleeting and fickle.
I really felt for the narrator - it seemed she needed a love like that and that she'd had a hard life. We all need a love like that. Oh, and I loved the part about Bella holding her with her eyes - a different kind of holding. That was so sweet and perfect.
Just lovely. :)
| Delle Tuh chapter 1 . 10/4/2010
That was one of the most amazing things I think I've ever read. And you'll definetely be getting my vote.
| Unintended-u chapter 1 . 11/17/2009
Wow. Never read anything like this before. Very beautifully written! Thanks.
| JerseyGirl709 chapter 1 . 10/13/2009
Awesome that the reader can FEEL that our observer knows she has had sex but not made love, and can be so touched by the image of real love shared.
| TwilightJemS chapter 1 . 8/30/2009
Wow! This is the weirdest story but it makes absolute sense! I actually felt like I was the one high! Awesome feeling without the consequeces!
| theladyingrey42 chapter 1 . 8/17/2009
Holy crap that was ridiculously gorgeous.
Your writing is so intense and so powerfully visual. It seems weird to be reading about B&E from an observer's perspective but it just works here because the words you use to describe it are so rushing and beautiful and urgent.
| delete007 chapter 1 . 8/12/2009
That was fuckhot and amazing and sad and moving and beautiful all rolled into one.
I've never seen 2nd POV so masterfully written.
Brava, I hope you win.
I don't think words can describe how that was, actually.
| Scorpio11 chapter 1 . 7/19/2009
Woow. Grovy, maan.
It really was excellent. I've never read anything quite like. I've never taken acid, although I'm friends with many who have, and this sounded just like some of their shared experiences. Most interesting and strangely lovely.
| kissyourself chapter 1 . 7/17/2009
Wow. that was just... wow. Beautiful. It's like... stream of consciousness and I love it.
| PLEASE DELETE1 chapter 1 . 7/16/2009
That was so beautifully written. I have never seen second person written as well as you write it. It's a very effective way to write, if written well. A very personal story. Ausgezeichnet!
| Tulipp chapter 2 . 7/16/2009
I really thought I reviewed this the first time I read it, but I glanced through just now and find that I hadn't.
What everyone else said, of course: lyrical, lovely, lush. But here's what I want to add, and here's why I'll go vote for you: you have written a love story about readers and fan fiction. And it's tremendous. What else do we do, after all, but watch, longingly, from a distance?
| ohyoudo chapter 2 . 7/16/2009
even if it doesn't win- even though it should -"Lavender" will always be my favorite (L)
| Raven Jadewolfe chapter 1 . 7/16/2009
goddamn that was beautiful
| mjinaspen chapter 1 . 7/16/2009
I love the lyrics embedded throughout. Really musical and flowing.
bound to each other like everyone else here refuses to be
- this is so beautiful.
white knight and Prince Charming and John Lennon and jesus and cary grant and lilacs and honey and sunshine
- that's everything anyone could ever want :D
i'm not going to quote everything i love back to you, because i'd just end up copying the whole damn thing... this is fucking lovely.
you wish you were the girl he was touching and you wish you had that girl to touch
- *sigh* longing and intimate and beautiful.
she’s holding you, just with her eyes
- see? i just keep quoting you... can't help it.
on her pink round nerves
- oh... i want to use this sometime. somewhere. it's just so pretty.
not needing to beg entrance because it’s just going home
- gah! oh lord... so pretty.
there’s nothing that they don’t share
- i have no words. none.
Excellent. Thank you for sharing this.

Beautiful! Very passionate and righteously possessive. Yasgur's farm was never so energized. Loved your Elizabethan adjective!
