That was one cute story. Itachi-chan is adorable. I don't think he's cliche and I really hope he shows up in your additions to this story. I'd say both characters are believable for their ages and I agree that Itachi would probably show at least a little more emotion as a Genin than his trademark stoicism from ANBU on. As a side note, I read, re-read, and love all of your fanfics and it really makes a bright spot in my day when you come out with a new one. Anyway, keep up the excellent work.

Haha, I loved the appearence of Itachi-chan. I can jsut see him waiting until Sakura isn't paying attention, then start picking a fight with Itachi-kun. I also thought it was adorable that Sakura would talk to the weasel like that and it would listen!

I bet Itachi is going to get more and more emo as these chapters progress. Oh well, he wouldn't be the Itachi we all love if he didn't!

So I've pretty much been a lurker... might have left a handful of reviews before I changed my username, but I figured I should review regularly from now on since:

A) Its almost summer I should have no excuse (hopefully). I think the last time I left a review on any story was a year ago (pure laziness).

B) It's a new non-mass-verse to start fresh on.

C) I've loved your work ever since i read Koibito no Ryu on FP.

D) Through Koibito no Ryu you inadverdently introduced me to the awesomeness of Naruto fanfics and ItaSaku...and led me to discover the many other pairings I love.

E) Getting alerts for all the little oneshots and vignettes make me so happy :D The only thing that bothers me is that I cant fave them.. all the little oneshots on my list would bother my very small OCD part of my personality. I love Ramen-verse and every other verse too.

F) The recent spike in all the plagiarism on FP that has been causing all the good authors to run away as fast as they can has made me even more appreciative of the rest of my favorite authors on FP and FF.

G) You're one of the few consistent and fast authors (LOVE).

So yeah.. I'm super excited about this new story. And wow. I don't even know how I didn't realize Itachi meant weasel, since you've mentioned his weasel ANBU mask in your other AUs. Probably because I have no idea what is going on in Naruto... haven't watched or read it in forever. Same with all of the other anime and dramas I watch, actually. But I'm looking forward to the next installment of this AU! :) 3

For this being your first time portraying young Sakura and Itachi, I think you got their personalities down to a T. That's exactly how I would picture them interacting with each other and with everyone else they came into contact with. Can't wait to read more!

I'm looking so forward to this story. I think you're doing a great job of portraying them mid-childhood, especially since this is a non-massacre fic. Good start, can't wait to see the second installment.
