Lizabeth S. Tucker chapter 1 . 6/7/2009 I'm finally getting a chance to start reading all these stories that you all have posted. More goodies for the library as well! Hoorah! "I never miss when the shot's important" has to be one of my favorite lines ever. It was a definite aw moment. |
Georgi1961 chapter 1 . 6/7/2009 For me, this sums it up... "'And, anyway,' Hardcastle added in an offhand way, 'I never miss when the shot’s important.' " Thanks for continuing to weave all the missing scenes into a true work of art. I'm so enjoying all of these stories! |
lwalkerritzcom.net chapter 1 . 6/6/2009 What I really appreciate in these recent stories is the way you're weaving explanations and rationales into nice little slices of life. Your work is always right in character, but to add more depth and understanding to the guys is such a bonus. But my favorite part is the three bean salad. I'm thinking that was an unintentional call-back on your part! Lovely job and I, too, am waiting for the next one with pleasurable anticipation! |
JeanneZ84 chapter 1 . 6/6/2009 This was a nice piece to read.I could see every part of this and hear evey word.I could especially visuallize very clear Mark talking to The was a feeling of intruding I guess just as Jaz22 said. Hardcastle always knows when Mark is already to smart off too. Like when Hardcastle said he was gonna take a turned and looked at McCormick because he knew Mark was getting ready to say something until Hardcastle looked his changed his mind then. Great piece for the challenge. JeanneZ84 |
Jaz22 chapter 1 . 6/6/2009 Well, I can't decide if this is your third entry for the Crystal Duck challenge, or your first for the Goin' Nowhere one, but it doesn't really matter, as long as you keep churning out great stories like this! Your McCormick POV pieces are so right in character that I feel like an intruder in his head. I love the unspoken competition between the guys. This was a nice little look at the banalities of life _after_ the big arrest, but there was definitely no let down on our part. Now I'm waiting patiently for #584. ;-) |
