| igbogal chapter 2 . 6/16/2009
Curiouser and curiouser...who put that nasty cilice around poor Saige's neck? Who is the mystery caller, and why does she have a chapel (or perhaps a temple?) in her home? These questions will doubtlessly be answered in due time with your usual mix of action and style, but this chapter had a nice, thoughtful tone. As a lapsed Episcopalian, I never really understood the concept of Christ dying for our sins, but Saige's explanation is both clear and poignant. Write on! ;)

...Is she performing exorcisms?
And duh, where else would he be. Silly Silas...

...on her NECK? Jeez...
And yay, I liked Silas. Even though he was psycho.

An intriguing start...Silas is tougher than he looks, but I have a feeling that the same can be said for Saige. I liked the clever 'domino effect' at the opening of the chapter, when Silas tripped over a root and Saige tripped over Silas. ;) Will the monk find out what's behind the thick wooden doors with the one-way glass? If he does find out, will he wish he hadn't? And will the cops ever find the hiding place of these striking and mysterious fugitives? Hope you won't make us wait too long to find out! :)
