Reviews for Kishi Kaisei
KittyLynne chapter 1 . 6/14/2009
This is a wonderful premise for a short story (as well a most excellent and effective use of an original character. ) Writing in the form of a memoir was a terrific idea. That the soldier remains unknown gives a truly universal quality to the message conveyed here...he is the everyman who achieves greatness in a simple, straightforward act of courage.

You kept Chichiri's actions (after what's known from canon) very much in character. Imho, sending those who laid down their arms to heal the wounded was quitessential Chichiri, as well a very fitting tribute to his brother warrior, Mitsukake. _ I will admit that the grave and simple thanks he bestowed upon the soldier had me tearing up...

Every good wish,
