hi lazyartisan! odds are that you probably won’t see this, but i wanted to say that this is hands down my favorite fanfic i’ve ever read, across all fandoms. the character development, the world building, the complexity and the portrayal of trauma is beyond anything i’ve seen before in fanfic, and even beyond what i’ve seen in many published literary works. i first read this story in 2020, and come back to reread it at least once a year, even though is pains me every time to think that it will likely never be updated again. if you ever do see this, i just want you to know that i am grateful that you have put something as incredible as Second Nature out into the world. every time i check this story, which is much more often that i’d like to admit, a (not so) small part of me holds on to hope that it might have been updated. funny to think that the last update was when i was a kindergartener. if there’s any way to contact you (hoping you’re alive) or read anything you’ve maybe created in the 14 years since this story was last updated…

This fic was such interesting and engaging look at the ATLA world in a darker shade. The characters were well written and honestly I just enjoyed your writing style as a whole. Of course I would have hoped you continued it, but what you did share was really well done and I appreciate the chance to read it

Characters' personalities tend to get jumbled and lost in fanfiction so I'm super impressed that I was able to really recognise them for who they were throughout the story. Thanks for what you wrote and hope you're doing well :D
