This chapter is the best yet which is saying somethring! I mean that chemistry was painful! And the contrast with Jim at the end asking was just perfect. Gosh yes best thing I've read in ages!

Christine felt her face flush and Nyota just shook her head.

"Especially when he does that thing, you know where he sort of drags the vowel out. It's that thing his accent does. What's that called again?" Gaila asked.

"Drawl," Christine and Nyota answered at the same time. They caught the other's eye and for the first time in a while, Christine found herself giggling uncontrollably.

“I'll walk you home," McCoy said.

She gave him a look. "You really don't have to."

"You say that every time."

"I mean it every time."

"And I ignore you every time."

She opened her mouth, but he cut her off with a, "Zip it." She glared, but miraculously didn't object anymore.

"You two crack me up," Jim said with a grin.

Damn, these two are so adorable! Add Jim and they’re even CUTER! I also love that Bones has this weird thing for Chapel cooking by herself. It’s cute that he thinks it’s weird but kinda cool lol :)

What a great read! I particularly love how spot-on your characterisations are, and the focus on strong friendship dynamics which were as much a part of this story as the romance.

Well. I had to wait until this morning to write a coherent review, because I stayed up way too late reading your stuff last night. Good thing it was Saturday night! I am so happy I stumbled across your work! And all because of a Haven fic...turns out you write for a lot of fandoms I enjoy :) Which is awesome, because you are an extremely talented author! Seriously. I have paid good money for many a book that I didn't enjoy nearly as much as I loved this. Your writing just draws me in, and I can *see* the events thanks to your descriptions. I've always been a Star Trek fan, and Karl Urban playing Bones was perfect casting. The dialogue you wrote between him and Christine is just amazing. Anyway, let me just say again how fantastic your stuff is and how much I loved it!

The pairing I never knew I wanted! This was lovely, all the character voices were spot-on and I found myself laughing a lot. I positively beamed when I saw that Uhura was the VP of the Academy Chorale with a solo-I too wrote a fic where that happened, and whether or not that was a coincidence it made me grin. Landed on your profile for the Sherlock, stayed for the Star Trek. You did a great job. Gonna go read the rest of this series now. :)

Gosh, I love this story! This is one of my favorite Bones/Chapel fics...

I am loving your resurrection of Chapel. She's somehow very in keeping with the original (personality-wise, I guess), and yet totally new and refreshed. And although she always was crushing on Spock in the original series, I SO buy the McCoy/Chapel ship you have developing (because you're that good) for the rebooted characters. And have to say, you're skills at portraying tension are quite delicious.
