Rhetorical question, with McGonagall's handling of this had happened in real life, would she be censured and how badly? Then again, this is happening in the 80's, and I'm very much not an expert on past laws or when laws protecting minors came into being as well as not being a citizen of the UK. Still, infuriated at McGonagall.
I do like this take on Marge Dursley, and this is the first fic I've read, I think, where she's on Harry's side. I've read other fics where the Dursleys where decent and raised Harry in a loving environment, or Petunia leaving Vernon to raise Dudley and Harry. Can't remember much of Marge... hm :/ oh well. Enjoying your fic tho.
