wow you are a great writer. your story was so good but good lord was there too much dramione. i wasted so much time reading this. im sorry it was a waste even though it was good. your story just irked me to no end. i dont know it was good but not. being a romione shipper i was very disappointed in how it progressed...if you like dramione it's a good story and stuff but idk.

| This story's an eye-roller chapter 32 . 5/25/2012
Yay, Draco is a coward yet again. This is actually the first time he's portrayed in canon...every chapter prior to this he's some sort of super-Draco, imbued with myriad qualities not found within 1,000 miles of canon. Artistic license I guess, even if it is ridiculous.
And in a hilariously delicions way, even the Draco-fan author can't sustain his greatness for the entire fic, and has him turn into a deadbeat husband. Congrats Draco for running out on your wife. You're such an outstanding person.
This is the most bizarre romance story ever, completely unfulfilling to whomever is crazy enough to read it. Draco fans see their favorite character bolt. Ron fans have to see him depicted as the stereotypical loser that loses Hermione to Draco and who can't win her back on his own. And Hermione fans see someone so disingenuous with her affections towards both men it made a lot of people wish that she ended up alone.
I've got to give you a standing ovation for the hat trick you managed to pull off...it's not easy falling completely flat! I'd say better luck next time, but there's a lot of well-written stories out there and they get boring...it's more satisfying to read these every once in a while so you realize how good you have it with the other ones.

Hermione in this story:
Oh, fuck me Draco, I love you! What, he left? I need someone else.
Oh, fuck me Ron, I love you! What, he got tired of knowing he wasn't my first choice? I need someone else.
Oh, fuck me any random guy off the street, I love you! Turns out the only thing you need to get my love is to be the person standing closest to me whenever I'm single...Who knew being a disloyal slut was this fulfilling?

Congratulations Ron, you won the lottery! Your prize? You get to be Hermione's second choice for a husband! Is he lucky or what?
Ron gets kidnapped and loses 3 years of his life. The love of Ron's life marries his greatest enemy. Ron comes back, confesses his feelings to Hermione, and she chooses Draco over him again. Then Draco acts like a pussy and leaves her, at which time Hermione goes back to Ron because hey, she can't have a cold bed, can she? Then she gets pissed at Ron for not acting like the lapdog he is and coming running straight for her when he found out Draco left...he made her come to him, what nerve! Then they run into Draco at dinner and she shows us that even though she's with Ron, she never wanted Draco to leave her...what great depths of love for Ron she shows. Then Ron calls her on her obvious second-class treatment of him, and she proposes to him to trap him in marriage so that she won't be alone and lose her backup plan, leaving her with nothing.
On top of it all, Ron is written like a complete loser who just goes along with whatever happens to him. I've never seen an author write a story with such a hatred of her main protagonist...why did she even write this story? I get that she is a Dramione fan, but why waste her time having Hermione end up with Ron, just to show that Hermione will never get over Draco?
This is the biggest Ron-bashing story I've ever read. I mean, I know that D/Hr fans like this author completely hate Ron, but I've never seen one bother to write an ostensibly Ron/Hermione story...the stories are in the D/Hr category where they belong. This story just shows a complete lack of respect for Ron's character, and for his fans as well, by treating him like a doormat.
So congrats, Ron, on getting Draco's sloppy seconds. That's got to be a dream come true. But maybe Ron will get a happy ending after all...Hermione might think of Ron every once and a while when they're shagging. We know that she likes to think of anyone except the person she's with, but maybe Ron will get lucky and float into her mind every so often. It will probably happen only when something goes wrong, what with Ron not being the person she wants to be married to and everything, but beggars can't be choosers!

I'm happy for Ron and Hermione, but heartbroken for Draco. Am I right in thinking that all is not sweetness between Draco and Astoria?
| littledozziebug chapter 27 . 4/3/2012
I'm glad it wasn't Draco.
| littledozziebug chapter 3 . 4/3/2012
Ah ha! It was Draco behind Ron's disappearance/memory loss wasnt it?
| littledozziebug chapter 1 . 4/3/2012
Oh no, poor Draco! The first chapter was a really good read, I enjoyed it, but I hope the fic as a whole doesn't end bad (heartbreak, anger etc).

SO. GOOD. stayed up until 2 am just so I could finish it! I'm a huge Dramione fan, but I really like how you brought it back to what JK Rowling wrote. And besides, Ron and Hermione are meant to be! 3

hiya, i really enjoyed this story. i found it very entertaining and i love ginny! how she is so eager and mischevious. i also love the epiloque. the way you have mentioned all of the weasley grandchildren is really good! the only thing that i didnt really find realistic was how malfoy would be able to marry hermione and fall in love with her. i get that he could change but personally i dont think that he would be able to go that far. in any case i think you still made it pretty beleiveable :) also i didnt really understand (but i probably didnt read it right xD) who actually kidnapped ron? loved the story, Georgie x

"Why was it always up to the woman to get anything done?"
I just had to add that this line is ridiculous...she should be begging Ron for a chance to see him after the way she's treated him. She has no right to be angry.
Hermione sits on her arse this entire story! I don't know how anyone can read that line, after having read the rest of the story up to this point, and want things to work out for her. She's deluded and self-absorbed, and it's doubtful that she could make a relationship work with anybody the way she acts.
| X-Ray Hearing chapter 44 . 2/14/2012
This is a good story, but it's not a good Ron/Hermione story. I feel that the category pairing is misleading...it should just be listed as "Hermione."
This story is 44 chapters long, yet there is never 1 chapter in which we know who Hermione wants to be with. It seems the answer is either both or none. In every chapter she has feelings of love and affection for both Ron and Draco. In the beginning she's cheating on her husband Draco emotionally by fantasizing about Ron. Then Ron comes back and lets her know how he feels, but she tells him to leave her alone because she loves her husband and would never leave him (even though it seems like she was never fully committed to the marriage).
Then Draco leaves her and she is quite upset because she really loved him...but then she gets angry at Ron for not making a move for her. Then she's happy with Ron, but she sees Draco and gets jealous in the restaurant. And she marries Ron, but is upset when she sees Astoria in the park. For God's sake, I felt like I was reading about Hermione the ping-pong ball who never stops bouncing.
Even Ron and Draco don't know where they stand with Hermione. Draco still loved her, but he thought that she loved Ron so he left. And Ron doesn't know if she loves him...she only decided to give him a chance after Draco left. She only decided to marry him after she saw that Draco and Astoria were together. She didn't choose to be with him, she chose Draco. Ron will never be her first choice about who to be with for the rest of his life. Even after they'd been married a while with kids, he is still insecure and has to ask her if she regrets being with him. That made me incredibly sad to read and my heart broke for Ron. Her affections towards Ron seem disingenous; I never believed that she wanted to be with Ron as much as she wanted to be with Draco. And considering how she acted towards Draco when they were married, that doesn't say much for Hermione's character or how she acts towards both men.
Maybe you were intentionally trying to make the story ambiguous-love can be hard to understand sometimes. Or maybe it was just a lack of execution, I don't know. I do know that listing this story as "Ron/Hermione" is misleading. There are many R/Hr fans who will see that listing and read this story and not be very happy. It would be the same thing if it were listed as D/Hr.
This story is about Hermione, plain and simple. She's not an intentionally bad person, but she's not likeable either. She's completely self-absorbed, agonizing over her relationships with Ron and Draco and completely oblivious to how much pain she's causing both of them. She never makes a choice about who to be with...you might tell me that she chose to stay with her husband, but that's not even true. I mean, she keeps a box with all of her Ron stuff in it and sneaks out to look at it every night!
All she does is sit back and wait for things to happen, and eventually she ended up with Ron because Draco got sick of how he was getting treated. I'm not sure whether he's a coward for running away or way smarter than Ron for leaving Hermione and trying to find someone actually able to love someone completely. It actually makes me a bit angry that she somehow snagged the affections of two men who would kill themselves to give her a happy ending when she so clearly does not return those sentiments. It's never communicated why either one would love her so much when she spends so much of her time vascillating between them.
Anyway, this story is a good read, but definitely not as a romance. It's a Hermione character-study, a study which reveals a deeply-flawed, selfish, unlikeable Hermione. It's fascinating to read her thought process, and to see how she inexplicably ends up with a happy ending that she did nothing to deserve or earn.
This story would be much better for all readers if they were no lured to it under a misleading pairing and a misleading romance tag.

Just read the whole story again.
Great read! :)
This is truly one of my absolute favourites.
Also read "how to save a wizard" before this, and I can't stop wondering when the next epic third person story would come.
I remember last time I read it, Ginny was a true joy. But somehow, this time she was rather annoying! :(
I really hated how she lashed out against her mother, and how she was whiny and complaining all the time.
Also, Molly felt a bit off too...
But these are only minor complaints, I guess it just depends on the state of mind I am in now.
All in all, a GREAT 3 day read! I really wished this would last forever! :)
