I am re-reading Bonding again and it is nothing short of spectacular!
H annoys me with how she pushes M for answers, as if its the price for her friendship.
And M the stubborn fool who refuses to set her pride aside and accept helphero complex?
All the while I find myself after each chapter thinking “slow down and make it last” as I never want it to end.

I had avoided starting this as it's incomplete, but I finally gave in and WOW this is SO very good, and I really really hope that you continue. I see that it's been 5 years since you updated this fic and 2 years since you updated your profile.

I hope this doesn't mean that you're not going to finish/update, as I would love to read how this ends.

I know I read and reviewed this story ages ago. I don’t remember those reviews, but I do remember reading the story, and coming back after years and reading the whole thing was really something.

This story is amazing. I came back to it after sharing some fanfics with my wife who asked my favorites, regardless of fandom. I think this one might be a bit hard to follow for someone who has never read the books and only watched the movies once, and is unfamiliar with fanfic in general, but I remembered loving it and decided to reread it myself. You have crafted a plot much more intricate than the source material (the academic concept of death of the author has never rung more true than returning to this fandom at this time). Even if you never finish it, you’ve come far enough that I can imagine an ending, and this is far greater a story than Harry Potter ever was in my head. I know I could never have crafted a story as intricate as this and I hope to one day read your conclusion as I’m sure it far surpasses my own ideas, but even if not, I do thank you for the beautiful runway toward my own conclusions.

I have honestly basked in the love you’ve created both for Albus and Minerva and Hermione and Minerva. It’s really palpable. I know your initial challenge in this story was a realistic Minerva/Albus to Minerva/Hermione, and by Merlin have you created not only one of the only truly believable Minerva/Hermione stories in fanfic, but also one of the best Minerva/Albus ones.

If I could make any suggestion if you do happen still to be writing this story, it would be that exposition through prose would be just as informative as through dialogue in certain passages, and I can only imagine that it adds to the difficulty of writing to be in the voice of each character during dialogue exposition. Your dialogue writing is exceptional and I’ve paused and reread several scenes multiple times, particularly those moments alone between Minerva and her loved ones, so I say this with utmost respect to that skill.

Thank you for a wonderful story that I have now enjoyed for the second, but not the last, time.

This really is such a great gift you've bestowed upon us. I'm subscribed just in case you update again. I haven't had a account in almost twenty years so that is saying quite a lot. I hope you are well.

I knew about this story years ago I do not know how many five maybe ten or more I'm not sure and I read half before I realized that it wasn't complete, and I gave up because I didn't have the patience at the time for that much of a slow burn.
But now, I am trying to learn the art of it, and you are the true master.
It hardly matters if you ever complete it. I know others will say that it does, but they are wrong. This is a masterpiece complete or not. Which I know you know, but perhaps it's still nice to hear it from someone else.
This is an epic accomplishment as it is. It's brilliant how you have weaved this story together, all these interweaving plotlines, I find it unbelievable that you didn't believe you'd reach 80k though I know the feeling as I have yet to reach that number on any of my fics that I have foolishly considered long- as they barely reach novella size.
The way that you have depicted the blooming relationship between Hermione and Minerva and made it not only make complete sense, but also undeniable that they are made for each other despite everything that makes this pair a rare pair (though not that rare as it happens in a fandom like this.)
It's astonishing and amazing.

I hope that you do go onto be published and that the world is able to receive your gifts in a more original manner and that you receive deserved accolades and monetary gain of course.

Know that even if you never update again, you have given us all a gift, even if some fans are more frustrated with the lack of updates than others and if you do ever decide to post again that for many of us it will be a miracle, but that it is not required of you. You have given us enough.

I come back here to say that even all these years after I still wish that story could be fulfilled on day! The plot was so amazing and all of it seems to waist if we don't have the ending lol

I've just reread Bonding for about the twelfth time in it's entirety and every time I'm just amazed at the world you've created. It's so much more magical and creative than the books ever were while still remaining realistic. Magic really does make everything possible and I wouldn't be able to pick any favourite scenes or chapters. I just love every little detail of this world.
I don't know if you'll ever come back to this and while I'd love to see how the saga ends, I also want to say thank you for sharing your wonderful writing with us over all those years.
This fic has been and always will remain my all time favourite piece of fanfiction, across all my fandoms. It has made me feel so many emotions in various chapters and I'm really thankful I can come back to it when time allows.
So thanks again for devoting so much of your time to it. ️

Having just devoured this for the first time ever, after a recommendation from the HGMM fb group, and knowing it has been several years since the update I can only hope you are safe and well after the last few years and will one day return this wonderful epic. Even incomplete it will go into my reread list for a long while to come. It is fabulously crafted and will keep fingers crossed it will be completed in the future. I will wait hopefully to see where you take this from here.
