You can actually, burn out gearset on auto, easilky lol if you're a racer like me xD off track it should take some hard hand but it's possible, you don't want that :/
| Neshomeleh chapter 1 . 10/13/2012
Dean is really lost - too bad... The story is good:)
| steepedinwords chapter 1 . 9/6/2012
The Impala's got to be a manual transmission - it's too old to be a standard.
| Psycho33 chapter 1 . 12/2/2010
Thanks, it was a great piece. Brothers in character, sweet and touching without being goopy. I really enjoyed it and am glad i ran across it.
| JazzyIrish chapter 1 . 6/21/2010
Another great story. I love "Turn the Page" by Seger, it's almost haunting, isn't it?
Your visuals are so detailed that I feel like I'm there with Dean, just trying to survive, trying to get rid of the pain - both physical and emotional. And the only thing that will do that is Sammy, with him in mind if not body. And it is then that Dean can sleep, "feeling" Sam's presence even though he is hundreds of miles away.
Love this sentence: "He can't remember what day it is, the calendars faded into suns and moons dancing around him, no more sense of time passing than he does of the world turning." You do turn a phrase...
Thanks for sharing this with us. Until next time...

I liked it. I really can't even imagine Sam and Dean apart for so long time without talking to each other So I like when they do that on the fanfics, even thought they didn't really on the series, as far as we known D
On the top of everything, I really enjoied the story and I hope to read more fanfics of yours soon
Kisses and see ya next o/
| Entrelac chapter 1 . 12/6/2009
I have no idea where Route 50 is, but really, the road itself is almost insignificant to this story. A connection between siblings so strong that one can sense the other's distress from hundreds of miles away is... well, it's something that I believe truly exists. And you describe it so perfectly, because those feelings of 'I can't explain why but I had to talk with you' are exactly like that. You captured the boys' personalities wonderfully.
My only question: How did Dean manage to keep the Impala from running out of gas after having her sit with the engine idling for so long?
| TheMacUnleashed chapter 1 . 11/3/2009
Lovely h/c, and though I've only seen somewhere in the vicinity of five episodes, I have to say that I think you did really well capturing the brother's characters!
| TheKritty chapter 1 . 10/16/2009
That was so damn cute,I think I'm dying from Dean's (and Sam's) cuteness! You captured them both very very well and described hurt!/sick!dean so well, I wanted to jump in and hug Dean SO much! *sighs*
Also loved the idea of Sam calling Dean, who's sick and hurt and driving alone on a long street,in a hart heat. I had the picture right in front of my eyes.
I would love to read a 2nd chapter in which we all see the next morning, because Dean has to be a little stiffy after a night in the car,hot day and freezy night and all the same chap from Sam's ,loved the idea of it and made me *squee*!
| InSecret chapter 1 . 10/6/2009
You totally distracted me from writing my essay, just so you know (*laughs*), but I don't mind too much coz I found this and it is LOVELY. I liked it so much I'm adding it to favourites, and I'm inherently lazy and inconsistent with doing that so hoorah you. *smiles* I'm gonna have to remember to check out the rest of your writing when I get the chance. Don't let me forget!
| Zatnikatel chapter 1 . 8/7/2009
Wow, so much in this… so many memories and regrets played out against this endless road to nowhere that sorta sums up Dean’s life at the time, I guess. I love that Sam called him. Just a little detail… so many other writers [me included] would have gone the other way but it works so beautifully because it gives us a sense of Sam’s regret too…
Lovely little gem, polished until it shines.
| LuckyMe1 chapter 1 . 7/13/2009
This story was very touching and I cried through most of it. I can only imagine that when Sam was gone that it would have been hard for both boys to adjust to a whole different way of life without each other. THANKS
AND, YES you can damage the transmision by shifting wrong.

My lovely story. It's still gorgeous and I love it dearly.
thanks again, hun.
| Webster chapter 1 . 7/9/2009
Very delicately done. Nice job.
On an automatic, there isn't a gearbox, you blow the whole darned transmission, and that's about a thousand dollars to fix. I've known many a car consigned to the junkyard over a failed transmission.
