![]() ![]() BRILLIANT MAD FUNNY! I LIKE! |
![]() ![]() Aberforth indeed. Well written, very well written. It's somewhat remininscent of...Poe, possibly? Only with a more humorous outlook...but anyway... Keep up the good work; you have some skill here. ] |
![]() ![]() ![]() LOL! If he can't read, then what on Earth is the point? Hey-idea! The guy next door is Wilbur Whateley . . . LOL(again)! |
![]() ![]() ![]() You know, I really never get tired of reading this: there's always a little something more to be gleaned from it...like the comment that both Welsh and the tongue of the Old Ones are alike, and to be feared. Oh my. And it's fun to read something that's so Lovecraftian. You really captured the tone and diction so perfectly! I suppose you wouldn't consider a semi-sinister sequel? |
![]() ![]() God, I love this! LOL Next will it turn out that Wilbur Whateley has come to visit? Or Herbert West, or Richard Pickman? This is SO FUNNY! |
![]() ![]() ![]() lolz that was incredible. there were so many Lovecraft jokes in this fic. GREAT ending! gj on this, it was a brilliant story |
![]() ![]() That was one of the funniest (read only funny) Lovecraft stories I've ever read. I wonder if there's any Whateley blood in their family . . . |
![]() ![]() ![]() ah. amusement. i enjoyed this greatly, it was incredibly entertaining, and very well written. |
![]() ![]() ![]() The ending cracked me up. Nice work. |
![]() ![]() T'is a most excellent story! |
![]() ![]() ![]() Very clever and extremly well written and, having attempted to learn Welsh, I'm inclined to agree. While I have not read much Lovecraft, the many little details are brilliant. The way that the tension is sustained and increased is superb and the denouement is utterly irrisistable. |
![]() ![]() ![]() My dirty mind always thinks of bestiality during that passage. Then in your summary you mentioned Lovecraft. So. You can try and wrap your head around what i was thinking when I was trying to picture Lovecraftian bestiality. But seriously, for the most part, this was one of the strangest fics I've read, just because I was expecting it to be. It was also one of the funniest. Its like 3 in the morning and I'm trying not to laugh at Albus' pirate costume and the explanation for said costume. I also loved this passage: “No, not that He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named. I had more in mind gibbering mad gods piping insane antiphonies on their ocarina, semi-formless obscenities dwelling in halls of alien geometry, albino octopi sleeping in sunken cities. That sort of thing.” I really can't picture Dumbledore saying that, but I had fun trying. |
![]() ![]() How could this be improved? In my opinion, by very little. I bow to your supreme H.P. Lovecraft-esque Harry Potter (anyone notice...H.P. and Harry Potter...there's rhyme and reason to everything). Thank you very much for making my day a whole lot happier. |
![]() ![]() thanx for the insight into dumbledoor's secret homosexuality. looking back through your story it is obvious, from the "pirate cosume" to the elf refusiing to leave the closet. some highlights: Parents are oblivious to what boy does up in room, with goat. he must "Beware" Black goat, fertility diety of mythos the easter setting is another fertility symbol, meant to be feared. |
![]() ![]() Hilarious! I love how you juxtapose the Lovecraftian purple prose with the modern dialogue and the plot itself. *giggles* |
