I honestly do love your story, but I also feel obliged to point out that a decade is 10 years and a century is 100 years. The suggestion that stars last "decades, sometimes centuries" is quiet concerning especially coming from Spock.

wow... deep... and very well written... nice work
| Dark Satirist chapter 1 . 3/22/2011
I loved this story! It was beautifully written-the emotions were perfect. You got McCoy's character spot on-I liked the part at the end when Jim woke up and Spock was imagining McCoy's rant. That was perfect.
One thing is that spock might have come across as a little too human in this. Not that I mind-I like stories where he's more human than computer-but it's just something to think about.
I really enjoyed this. Thanks for sharing!

| Kiwee chapter 1 . 6/29/2010
Oh Spock, you should know that nothing less than a supernova or the universe ending is going to do Jim in. That, or a bridge. Those invincible buggers. I like the imagery of the stars, and I love how Spock is hoping against his Vulcan upbringing and wishing for the continued existence of Jim.
| irezel chapter 1 . 2/20/2010
a little bit scary when you put it that way...but an excellent point nonetheless. really liked this! :)
| MirrorFlower and DarkWind chapter 1 . 11/7/2009
okay this was sad really sad but good nice job
| loathsome child chapter 1 . 10/23/2009
Beautiful. Absolutely stirring.
| la-andy chapter 1 . 9/27/2009
Simply... beatiful and touching... even if at the end I thought of Spock as Sailor Moon, fighting for love and justice... but it was fleeting! I swear!
Well, that and for him to go back to Kirk and take his hand! (yeah, I know what that'll mean but... *mumbles*)
| ThorinKiliandFili4ever chapter 1 . 9/15/2009
A great story. Very good.
| IluthraDanar chapter 1 . 7/11/2009
This was beautifully written. I kinda hated how Spock and Kirk didn't have a goodbye scene. They weren't together when Kirk died. Yet he had said that in the fifth film. He would die alone. He didn't actually, but if you count Spock and Bones not being there, yes, he was.
| Ava Monroe chapter 1 . 7/11/2009
This is a wonderful, introspective and intelligent piece. Devastating in its truth, but very well written. I really enjoyed reading it. Thanks!
| chocolatelover1 chapter 1 . 7/10/2009
lol i like it.
I know it was meant to be more serious than anything, but I so laughed when Spock could already imagine what McCoy would lecture him with. Pointy eared bastard...lol!
That was funny! Im just surprised you didnt use the damn hobgoblin phrase (or however it goes) lol
Anyway, over all... I liked it! :D
