Sweet melancholy. I weep for him.
PLease please please finish AR! I'm patient though.
Love your words.
| JerseyGirl709 chapter 1 . 10/13/2009
I'm just strolling through a vanilladoubleshot garden of delights tonight! I thought the allusion was more touching and honest than an explicit telling would have been. And the turn of the screw at the end...breathe taking. The narrative imagination simply soars from there!
| Khismet chapter 1 . 10/1/2009
That, was wonderful! I especially loved the last line, it was a perfect ending.
Aside from that, the poetic way you wrote it was just awesome. Words like 'cadmium, furling, spritely' are exactly why I liked Twilight in the first place, and exactly why I liked this one shot.

Beautifully poignant. Wonderful, wonderful, wonderful. Your words have such grip and power to them that I am always left in awe. I wish I could write like this, but I'll just have to settle for being inspired.
About the Love Through Lemons contest? I would guess as this stands now, there's no lemon ACTION, so it might be disqualified. I think your blarg is more about Edward's perpetual guilt and angst, his stubborn blindness to realize how Bella's choice to become vampire saved him. If only the contest meant "lemon" in the sense that love is sometimes bittersweet, this would be perfect.

This is beautiful.
| AndraLee chapter 1 . 7/22/2009
So beautiful. The last line took makes me ache.
| depper57 chapter 1 . 7/19/2009
Aww! Loved it!

Just like limeade, sweet, sweet, than with a little kick of tart at the end :-) The lemon is definitely more implied than what I would think would be wanted in a contest with "lemon" in the title, but it's so well written, I would probably vote for it. Of course, if the story is required to be a blarg for the contest, I can't imagine a well written, hard core lemon being less than a thousand words, but maybe that's just because I'm too wordy for my own good... Anyhoo, I love it, no matter what you plan on doing with it

To review the specific phrases that stand out in your writing is futile since each and every word blends together like Edward's soft and confident caresses wrapping my mind in total bliss. Even when the words are bittersweet like his lingering doubt about taking her 'life' there is a serene comfort in your descriptors and phrasing. I seriously read your words instead of meditating or doing yoga when I feel stressed because my heartrate and breathing steady out and my soul feels like it's splayed out on a warm tropical beach with my lover by my side. Your words are magic for me, so thank you for sharing them.
| carafob chapter 1 . 7/15/2009
that truely made me go aw!
| Sugargirl5 chapter 1 . 7/15/2009
Aw, very sweet and so cute!
| ohyoudo chapter 1 . 7/15/2009
Oh baby, it was beautiful. My brain can't really grasp the idea of being alive for so long. It must be... exhausting.
And one would think after a century Edward would have cut with the emo. No such luck. But that's him, right? And we love him anyway.
| gossip-bangkok chapter 1 . 7/15/2009
how Edward still feels guilty..
but good work though..
| passivestrength chapter 1 . 7/14/2009
Aw...this is so incredibly sweet :3 I love the way Edward is so observant of Bella, knowing every little insignificant thing about her. And the descriptions of the passing sunrises and years was breathtaking. The ending was perfectly bittersweet, and I adore how he still feels guilt for taking her mortal life so long ago. Purely Edward; always a gentleman that worries for his love and wants her to be happy. And I'm such a softie...I swear my eyes were glazing over. Fantastic work. May I suggest writing a simliar story from Bella's POV? Thanks!
