great ending, wish there were more colours )
Favourite line: "Grey is a compromise, between the two extremes of black and white. Because to become white, he might have to forgive her—and he doesn't think he ever can. And to become black, she'd have to stop regretting what she did, and stop loving him—and she knows she never will." you NEARLY made me cry

Whoa. Deep. Brilliant work
Favourite line: "Jenny Shepard didn't love purple, she relished it. She reigned over it and coveted it. It was strange that she wouldn't describe it as her favorite colour (no; that was blue, for reasons that should remain known to her alone) yet she craved it, collected it, and wanted it." of course we don't know why she loves blue coughGibbscough
I love Cleopatra as well

Favourite line: "Likening innocence to her fair skin is a mockery of the very definition of the word." funny

Favourite line: "Trust me, forget-me-not blue.
That was the umbrella term she used to describe his eyes; the definitive denotation that popped into her head immediately when she looked into his eyes, and the very first way his eyes made her feel, even before she fell in love with him." because its sweet

Favourite line: "Yellow made her smile." always a nice thing

Favourite line: "Red was the color of the lipstick left on his mouth and neck after she came undone, red were her swollen, sore lips as he shuddered against her and she bit them to quiet her screams; red was her nose and her pretty cheeks at the shameful indignity and unspeakable thrill of being fucked by her former partner in the forensics lab. Red was all he saw when he buried himself in her and listened to her ragged breathing and the pulsing of her heart and inhaled the spicy scent of her messy and ruined red curls." wow

A perfect conclusion. It's like the bitter note in a song that doesn't quite resolve... Very Jen and Gibbs. Lovely as always.

I am very sad to see the colors end. I quite liked them :) I loved how you worked grey; you made it define their relationship perfectly. The last line was quite good. Definitely an excellent way to end this little collection. I've loved it! xx

Congratulations on completing another series of wonderful Jibbs oneshots with the central theme of colour! I did quite like this one, and I appreciate the difficulty that can arise from trying to label and classify and define the Jibbs relationship. Grey is, I think, the perfect way - the compromise between black and white. That was undoubtedly my favourite part of this instalment; it made complete sense and it the best way to describe their compromise and relationship.
Anyway, I have enjoyed every instalment of this fic, it was excellently done!
PS- I noticed the British spelling of 'grey'. Win.
