ThePastaDragon chapter 2 . 1/21/2015 Oh damn. See this is the kind of stuff I like reading. That was pretty damn cool at the end. :D |
TMI Fairy chapter 2 . 7/17/2013 Liked. Borys |
Hebi R chapter 2 . 6/3/2013 There is a hint, just the tiniest hint, mind you, that the orcs of Moria enjoy companionship. It is not that far of a stretch to imagine that the Uruk-Hai would be capable of feeling loyalty to each other stronger than their loyalty to Saruman. And you wrote it REALLY well. |
dionysuspark chapter 2 . 1/4/2013 Beautiful writing and concept; thanks for the wonderful read. It seems I'm not the only one interested in the Uruk-Hai and their creation. :-) |
wanderingroe chapter 2 . 12/28/2012 Incredibly intriguing, and interesting concept. I truly enjoyed reading this, as I have come across yet another rare, plausible orc-fic. I'm glad you decided to write and share this, because it's one of the more interesting orc-fics I've read before. Excellent ending, too - leaves a lot of food for thought. :) |
cimmer chapter 2 . 12/25/2012 Excellent back story for the Uruk Hai. I really like the idea of 'edgers'. I suspect the idea of them would upset not only Saruman but the men of the west and the elves as well. What to do with a new race? Where would they go and what would they do? |
Guest chapter 2 . 12/2/2012 WOOOW! I have always been fascinated with Uruk-hai, and I loved the raid leader, so this is a true pleasure. |
Guest chapter 1 . 12/2/2012 Love it so far! |
Sonyvaio chapter 2 . 10/14/2012 Great story |
Lanny-Sama chapter 2 . 6/11/2012 Yea. So. This was awesome. And I loved it! Very nice! Thanks for writing this! |
Phen chapter 2 . 4/12/2011 Very well written, I quite enjoyed it |
Guest chapter 2 . 3/9/2011 I have read your story The King and I, and came to this one via your page. I must say, it is wonderfully well crafted. It is something that larger stories are inspired by (hint hint.) The story is of course well written, and the ideas behind it are fascinating. Uruk's with compassion, due to the ancestry that they possess. It's plausible, and as you say in your Author's Note, not explained in the books, let alone the movies. Thumbs up for a good and interesting read. |
cimmer chapter 1 . 12/30/2010 I really enjoyed this, the imagery combined with the straight forward narration. Very cool. I wish I could find out what happened to the Smith. I always thought the Uruk Hai were very interesting characters - where do they go when they die? Is there someone, some Vala somewhere that looks out for them? They're this interesting intersection of Elves via the Orcs and Men. Thanks for the story. |
Nimbus Llewelyn chapter 2 . 12/3/2010 This is... fantastic. I saw it when it was first published and loved it, then got sidetracked, and found it after months of searching by complete chance via an author by the name of Clodia. |
FireChildSlytherin5 chapter 2 . 8/21/2010 Wow, great short story! :) |
