I read the one-shot last night, and i abso-fucking-lutely loved it. I love! jealousward, i find him incredibly hot. And Charlie, oh Charlie! He's awesome, I teared up a little last night when I read that he dies. :(

I've been looking for a war story for a while, and haven't had much luck.. I'm so glad I read this one. I'm so excited to see where you go with this.

There's so much I loved in this chapter, my dear. All at once it was foreboding and sweet and hot and I am enamored with your Edward. Happy sigh.

A quick thank you for keeping this true to the time period. So many people try to write a 'period' piece and then have the main characters falling into bed with each other after fifteen minutes, and it makes me happy that you are making these four take it slow. Edward's concerns about being respectful and Alice's excitement over a simple hand holding session makes me smile like a little girl.

Also, I love your Charlie. So often people write him as a bad parent, and I really don't like that characterization. He was never absent or an empty slate in Twilight - he was simply reserved. Thank you for making his adoration for Bella apparent, as well as his acknowledgment of her affections for Edward clear. That said, I am praying he doesn't die.

Are we going to see Rose and Emmett? Rose might make a killer combat nurse. Hmm. *ponders*

Very nice. Loved the physical connection, but also the way you are describing Bella's emotions and reactions. The split up from the oneshot seems very logical. The innocence you've built is about to be burst, and you'd done it well, so it's going to hurt.

I really love this story! I love the historical aspects of Pearl Harbor so I think it's really great that you've used it as a setting for these two!

Great to see the new chapter...and yeah, I love the expanded version of this story. We're seeing much richer character development all the way around.

Beautiful chapter! So true to the times - Edward worried about being a gentleman and Bella thinking about what nice girls do and don't do.

Favorite line - from Charlie:

"Then he leaned in and hugged me and whispered in my ear so only I would hear, "Don't you go off and marry Edward without telling me first, okay?" "

He's astute, your Charlie. How sweet that he gave her his approval of Edward before either one of them had declared themselves!

Great Chapter. I find this 1940's propriety business very amusing...

I'm glad that Charlie let Bella know of his approval of Edward. It is one thing to assume he would be accepting but it's another thing to know for sure.

I can't remember what was in the original Infamy compared to what you may have added, but I really liked the foreshadowing of Charlie giving Bella his implicit permission wrt Edward. Knowing what is coming, it's a nice detail to know that Charlie approved of Edward. I really love the historical backdrop of this story and I'm really looking forward to seeing where you take it!

Again, love it so much more than the one-shot! I can't wait for the next chapter...and the real fun of course!

Well, I loved this story as a one-shot, so I guess I could say that I'm giddy at the start of a multi-chapter extension!

I love this time-period and the setting being in Hawaii. I love Charlie being an Admiral (Good for him! It's time he moved up from being a small town police chief...) and I really like his relationship with Bella. I love the backstory on Edward and Bella growing up together - especially him making her feel safe from the storm. A lovely metaphor for their later relationship!
