Honeyduke's Finest chapter 17 . 10/16/2010 ARGH CLIFFHANGER! . Interesting plot, well-written, great characterization...I love every bit of your story to death! So please, please, please UPDATE SOON! |
raka chapter 17 . 10/11/2010 wow... can't wait for the next chapter... Any chance of relationship with Hermionie being developed or is it just a minor part in the story... Poor Harry... Probably is gonna lose his mother... |
raka chapter 15 . 10/11/2010 I still can't understand if Harry is plain evil or just dark and doesn't know anything better... But I thought after one whole year at Hogwarts, he'll be exposed to the thoughts of others and at least set him on a thinking process... After all, he's only 15. He can't already formed opinions which he's gonna follow for life... |

Marcus S. Lazarus chapter 17 . 10/8/2010 Mmm... Not too shabby, I have to admit. You definitely created one of the more intriguing interpretations of Bellatrix that I’ve ever read; while you acknowledge her insanity- her ‘reasoning’ for switching Harry for Henry alone was a dangerously deluded ‘leap’ for ANY mind to make-, you also ‘tweaked’ it to a point where she was slightly less HOMICIDAL while making her a bit more delusional in her worldview, as seen in her ‘plan’ to ‘save’ Henry. The new take on Harry was also rather effective; unlike a couple of similarly-themed stories I’ve read where Harry was already ‘rebelling’ against his Dark upbringing, here you clearly explore his actual interest in the Dark Arts and all related elements, while also offering a depiction of him that is mainly interested in living the life of a Death Eater because it’s all he’s really known rather than out of any kind of sadistic thrill he gets from the job in question (It’s like Terry Pratchett and Neil Gaiman wrote in “Good Omens” when looking at a hospital run by Satanists; being BROUGHT UP worshipping Satan/following Voldemort tends to take the edge off it, and just makes the religion something you do rather than actually making you EVIL). The explanation that Harry and Draco provided for wanting to ‘defect’ might have been a bit flimsy, and I was a bit ambiguous about Hermione being so ‘eager’ to help them research poisons, but with Dumbledore persistently willing to give anyone a chance it made a certain sense, and with the Unbreakable Vow to deal with I suppose Hermione thought it best to just go along with what she was asked to do and enjoy it as an academic exercise while trying not to think about the implications (Even if a part of me thinks you could have focused more on the time Harry spent with her; I just didn’t get a real impression that they were developing THAT kind of relationship...). Still, the part where Hermione made Harry stop and THINK for a minute about Voldemort’s ‘propaganda’ (If you can call it that when he mainly just kept going on about it; it wasn’t like he was providing EVIDENCE for his claims, after all) regarding muggle-borns was definitely an effective means of giving Harry something to think about, although you could have also had Hermione point out the difference between the Death Eaters murdering muggles who aren’t even combatants in the war and the aurors killing members of the enemy’s forces... Ah well; I think it’s safe to say that, after this last chapter, people are definitely going to have QUITE a few questions that are going to avoid focusing on issues of morality like that. I suppose the obvious issue is whether Harry’s going to initially assume that his eyes changed colour because of something someone did at Hogwarts rather than something Bellatrix HASN’T done, but given the relatively ‘useless’ nature of such a change- particularly given how unlikely it is that the Potters will want to accept that he’s ‘their’ Harry- that probably won’t last long... Hope you update soon; can’t wait for more! |

Lindsiria chapter 17 . 9/20/2010 I really like this story. You have a new spin on a Darker Harry Potter fanfic. Keep it that way. :D I love how Dumbledore does not trust them and how sly they are trying to act. Harry- being Bellatrix's son- has completely loyalty to Voldemort as he was practically raised in his presence. This is something i've noticed that does not fit. Harry should fear Voldemort but also want to rise to the top. It would be his biggest goal to be Voldemort's right hand man just like his mother. Voldemort would see that, and I do not see him threatening to kill them by Halloween if they cannot bring him Longbottom. In truth, I think Voldemort would be proud of Henry and Draco. They had just invented a poison that no one is noticing and just killed one of the aurors that had captured so many of them. I would see Voldemort slowly coo-ing them. "Well if you can do this, maybe you have what it takes to rise above the rest. If you can bring me Neville LongBottom, you will be the greatest of my followers." Have them WANT to bring him Longbottom, not just fearing for their lives. Tehehe, i'm excited to see how this will go. I hope Harry doesn't fall and switch sides that easily, in a way I hope he doesn't switch sides at all. Woah that would be awesome, having Neville actually be the one to defeat Voldemort because Harry wont. XD Either way, i can't wait to see where this goes. |
KoshKing777 chapter 17 . 9/17/2010 Hey, fantastic job on this so far. I've been reading this story nonstop since noon today. (It's about 8 pm now) I'm especially enjoying the two different "sections" of the book. You've made something that could have been dull and routine into something quite immersing. My only wish would be for Harry and Hermione to, at least, be allies again...I really enjoyed the interplay between her and Dark Harry. I was sad that he never tried to make up with her after their big fight. Well, please update soon! This is one of the best HP fics ever. |
