| Symphonie 2 chapter 9 . 8/28/2009
What a bittersweet ending.
I'm glad to see that everyone is alive and physically okay.
It was a close call.
I loved the way Reid told Hotch the truth about Rossi, no matter how much it was hurting him.
His emotional turmoil was evident to Hotch I suppose.
I'm sure that Hotch appreciates his gesture and that he realizes how painful it was for him to do this.
Aaron represents everything for Spencer, and I'm certain that, even if Hotch rejected (in a gentle way) his feelings once, he couldn't help but hope. So, for Reid, delivering that message was like sacrificing his only chance at happiness.
I think that it's humbling to be loved in such a complete, selfless, and intense way. Even if Aaron can't return Reid's feelings, he's probably honored to receive them. And who wouldn't be flattered to be loved by someone like Reid? ;)
I would love to see Hotch thanking Reid for what he did, for his honesty, for his selflessness and for his courage.
Poor David. I hoped that if Hotch couldn't return Reid's love, he could maybe return Rossi's.
Two out of those three would have at least found happiness.
But Rossi and Reid's situations are still different : like you pointed out, Rossi had his fair share of relationships and three marriages. Of course he's hurt, but staying near Aaron will help him.
David is an experienced man whose life has been eventful and rich so far. And I'm sure that he received love and felt it.
Reid will probably have a harder time dealing with the situation. He has abandonment issues, and Aaron was probably the only person he fell in love with.
You can correct me if I'm wrong but I really think that Reid never felt this feelings before for anyone else. He usually hides behind his intelligence, but his feelings for his boss are so strong that they managed to pierce his shield.
Well, I'm looking forward to reading your sequel.
Good work, Symphonie 2 XX.

Everyone's safe and sound and Aaron knows how Dave feels about him. That's a nice ending. Thanks for sharing this with us.
Also, than you as always for you review of my story. I had the feeling you would like the trouble Aaron has got himself into this time!

Aww, what's wrong with a little 'fluff' after all our guys have been thru. I love happy endings, and although this one is 'bittersweet', at least everyone has recovered and are back at the BAU together.
I'm sure that Reid and Rossi can really commisserate with each other now; they both love Aaron with a love that can only be platonically returned by Aaron.
Poor Hotch, I do believe that he was abused as a child, but I don't know if it was by his father or not. I always figured that his mother abused him while his father was more or less 'absentee', but who knows. At least our Aaron didn't grow up to be a murderer or torturer, instead, he grew up to 'catch them'. Somewhere along the line, he was able to develop a caring, compassionate, empathetic nature. That is what makes him so loveable, IMHO (that, and the fact that he's 'drop dead gorgeous', lol.)
Anyway, thank you for posting the epilogue to this story and I am looking forward to a sequel.

Such an emotional and beautiful chapter.
I'm feeling bad for everyone here.
Poor Aaron, feeling guilty about not being able to reciprocate Dave's love.
He still needs to accept the comfort of his team if he wants to get better, because he needs to heal physically as well as psychologically.
Poor Dave, in such a bad state, thinking that he doesn't even have the right to love Aaron.
As if you could help the way you feel, or the person you're going to fall in love with. We have no control over that. We can't control our feelings, we can just control the choices we are going to make regarding those feelings.
I'm so glad to see that Spencer was there for him, holding his hand and trying to help him as best as he could.
Poor heartbroken Reid, trying to do what's best for Aaron, but also for Rossi.
He knows better than anyone what it's like to be in love without daring to express those feelings. He probably spent years being in love with Aaron and trying to hide it, until he finally told Hotch the truth. And I'm sure that he failed miserably at hiding those feelings.
It was so sweet and heartbreaking to see him delivering Rossi's message to Hotch, no matter how much it hurt him, no matter the possible consequences.
After that they need to have a good talk.
Hotch and Rossi, of course need to finally talk openly.
Hotch and Reid need to discuss too.
You know, I would love to see Reid, afraid that Hotch might not have heard him while he was unconscious, talking once again to Hotch about Rossi. He would want to make sure that Hotch is aware of Rossi's feelings I think.
He managed to find the strength to do it once, he can do it twice. Because we know that Hotch heard him, but Reid can't be sure of that. So, since Reid went through the agony of expressing Rossi's feelings to Hotch but can't be sure that Hotch heard him, ...well ...I think he would want to make sure that he didn't make that sacrifice for nothing.
And we could see Hotch thinking about the depth of Reid's love and loyalty.
Maybe a conversation between Rossi and Reid could be a good thing too.
Whatever you decide, I'm anxious to read it. Lol.

Yay! They're all safe and on the mend. i hope. I'm glad Reid had the guts to tell Hotch. It was hard but had to be done!
thanks for the update.

Yeah! Reid to the rescue! I am so glad that everyone has been found, BUT...what of Rossi and Hotch? So gravely wounded, beaten to a pulp...fighting for their lives. I'm glad that Morgan isn't too badly injured.
How commendable it is for Reid to deliver the message to Hotch that broke his heart, but you know what they say...if you love someone, you have to let them go. Reid really loves Hotch, and it's so bittersweet that he is 'letting Hotch go'.
Poor Rossi, thinking that he's 'old and ugly'.
(Personally, I think that Rossi is ruggedly attractive, but then again, he's not much older than I am, lol)
I think Hotch is the type of person who would love someone based on their character not on their looks. He seems to be such a caring, sensitive person, (and handsome to boot!)for me, it's not hard to see why so many people 'love' him!(I think he's great!)
(Now, I think that he does love Reid, but I see it in a 'fatherly way'.)
Poor Rossi, Reid and Hotch...they don't want to hurt each other, how will this all resolve itself? Well, Hotch admits that he can only love Rossi like a brother, so that should make Reid feel better that Hotch won't go off with Rossi.
Let's hope that they can all hang on and recover fully to get back to business at the BAU. I am looking forward to the next chapter.

omg! donr shoot morgan! thats almost as bad as shooting spencey!
| PanicButton chapter 8 . 8/25/2009
I still dont get why everyone loves Hotch...
I'm living in a world of mystery and confusion.
| stoneagequeen chapter 7 . 8/24/2009
I thought that it was too easy that Morgan was accepted by the thugs; the only 'good' thing about it is, Morgan found Hotch and Rossi, but at what price? Will it cost them all their lives?
Oh poor Hotch and Rossi, suffering yet again, and now Morgan has been wounded.
I thought it was so sad that Hotch was unconscious when Rossi told him that he loved him.
Will they live to find out what they really mean to each other?
Let's hope that the cell phone message got thru to Reid, and the gunshot is Reid 'saving the day'.
I am looking forward to the next chapter.
| Symphonie 2 chapter 7 . 8/24/2009
I really hope that the shot was from Reid.
Maybe he did manage to get Morgan's message.
After all of this, Hotch and Rossi need to get out of this hell alive.
I hope that they will both recover.
Why did Aaron had to be unconscious just when Dave was telling him about his feelings ?
Aaron needs to know about David's love for him. After all of this, I couldn't picture Rossi not telling him, when Aaron is awake this time.
Maybe Rossi is also reluctant to confess because of Reid.
You know, I could picture Reid knowing about Rossi's feelings, or at least discovering them while Rossi talks in a semi conscious state at the hospital. He would learn about Dave's love for Aaron.
Then, knowing that Aaron needs all the love he can get to recover he could decide to encourage David to tell Aaron his feelings.
Reid's inner conflict would be extremely interesting in a case like this : on one hand he would be afraid of the consequences of David's confession (what if Aaron can reciprocate the love when he couldn't do the same thing with Spencer ?). On the other hand Reid would know that learning about this love could help Aaron.
So, in the end I could see Spencer deciding that Aaron needs to know, and sacrificing his own feelings in the process he would push Rossi to be honest with Aaron.
I really think that it could be interesting.
I can't wait to read more of your story.
