You know you've come across a fantastic piece when you feel depressed after reading it, because it really touched down on your heart. Great story.
| mabidiso chapter 1 . 2/16/2012

| narutodekenzieboy chapter 1 . 5/6/2011
Nice ;). This story make me : Angry; For Kakashi, Sandaime, Danzo and others for making conspiracies to kill Kushina Uzumaki, Mother of Naruto. Cry; For loss/death of Kushina Uzumaki and making my cry harder, that her last word is her son. Smile; At nothing. Your story i smile on but no anybody in this story. Sad; I just found this story today and this is write in 09! 2 year has passing -_-. Btw, Is Naruto remember nothing of this/Forget his mother? There is a part that say "Naruto's cries for his mother" That mean Naruto has already recoganize his mother from child, right?
| erik chapter 1 . 3/26/2011
An excellent and brutally disturbed Kakashi following orders.
| Mitzzi chapter 1 . 2/28/2011
Which student's hands does he die at? Sasuke's or super angry Naruto's? Great story! So sad :(
| Zeitgeist84 chapter 1 . 9/19/2010
Interesting knuck-o. I prefer to believe it was Sasuke because at the end of the fic, you kinda indicate it wasn't Naruto that killed Kakashi when you said: 'Naruto was right; revenge did nothing.' That's almost a red flag right there. Naruto wouldn't go against his own philosophy like that. There's not enough hypocrisy in him. He's wholly good, while Sasuke is more likely to attack, seeing as he is one of the main antagonists. On the whole, I really liked the interaction between Kakashi and Kushina, and his inner-turmoil. It's kinda whether you choose country over friendship (a very big part in OS:G, by the way)and where that will lead you. But the whole part about Kakashi's death is really quite strange. It was, as you said, out of the scope of the original story and came on rather abruptly.
However, it is quite good at painting out a man sick with himself, with others, with his country. And that, that is what everyone should take from this, right? And hatred, hatred stays as long as you live. You'll never be satisfied even after your revenge.
On the whole, quite interesting knuck-o. Can't wait to see what duckz can do.
| Imperial Dragon chapter 1 . 9/11/2010
A twisted but good way of explaining why Kushina wasn't there for Naruto.
| Parrot Post chapter 1 . 8/16/2010
I love it! I love ur idea. I love how u portrayed it too. U portrayed everyone's character and emotions in so few words. Keep writing!
| Lelantos chapter 1 . 8/9/2010
Unique is the first thing that pops into my head. I hadn't, until now, ever considered a scenario when Kushina had been assassinated by Kakashi. And although the overall mood of the one-shot is not very cheerful, I still believe it was a masterpiece. To delve that deeply into Kakashi's mind, force him as a character to develop rapidly in a short piece and then as he died, give him a revelation. Very strong, very powerful. You are an amazing writer, knuckz. Truly, you are. I'm also very good at flattery, as Zeitgeist will tell you.
As for my guess (to challenge your deliberate, rather artistic, ambiguity), for lack of a better term, of who actually killed Kakashi, I would guess Sasuke. Although I can certainly see Naruto being angry if he ever was ever told that Kakashi had killed his mother, I can't see him delving headlong into revenge. As the last line of the story says: "Naruto was right; revenge did nothing. The hatred never left his heart." It stands to reason that if was Kakashi's last thought, then it probably would have been Sasuke to kill Kakashi.
| Anaerobie chapter 1 . 3/12/2010
An epic little tale, so very true.
You have to send a C.V. to Kishimoto and demand that he take you as co-author to calm the hordes of furies of Naruto's fan ;-).
It's well written, a good sense of rhythm in the words and sentences, and the end fall true.
I thought first about Naruto doing it because Kakashi thought about him in his demise, not even considering the possibility of Sasuke doing it. Even if the 'Avenger' doing it is more than probable. If not I love the perverse idea for switching their 'fate' of Avenger and Redemptioner or joining in the Quest of Hate and Revenge.
