Wow, this is really good. Im looking forward to reading more. I like that edward is not this perfect dad and has to work to get his sons affection.

Like the concept of the story. Wonder if Jessica has been nice at all as a mother, but the "I hate you" from a five year old probably says it all. Can't wait for the next chapter :)

I'm the person who was freaking out (in a good way) about the teaser you posted on the_gazebo about a day ago. I really liked this chapter. I like the tone you've set up and how you didn't take forever to describe the surrounding and Forks in general, but it came across from the conversation. This chapter showed a lot about what kind of person Edward is. So far, I can tell that he's the type of person who cares about others from how he reacted when he was told about Jessica's death and how he wanted to get Anthony out of foster care as soon as he could. He seems sweet and responsible so far and I really like him already. I don't normally read fics with babies/children, but I'm really excited about this one :)

Well... I think this is different from any Edward I've ever read. Totally centered in himself, without a care in the world... until now. The odds are not looking good, his job is on the line, he clearly doesn't live in a "good" neighbourhood, and I bet he hasn't saved much money.

Wonder what happened to Edward's mother (Esme or Elizabeth?) and father...

Wonder what Jessica could have possibly said to little Anthony about his father for him to hate Edward like that... You have to give her props though, for raising a kid for 5 years and never asking Edward for anything... wonder if her getting pregnant was the reason to go to Oregon in the first place...

Anyhow loved this beginning, I think we're in it for a long and enjoyable ride ;)

Great start. I don't think I've ever read a working class Edward story before. I look forward to reading more. If it's anything like your other story, I'm sure there will be great characterisations.

oh god. I'm so in for this one. I love the premise. Edward has normal problems, he's not rich, he's in an intense situation he'll probably have no idea how to deal with, just perfect.

You have a gift of making things so realistic, it's what I love most about your writing. I can't wait to see where you take us with this one.

Edward really isn't making much money...and working some prettly long hours.. Its going to be pretty hard for Edward to take care of Anthony..
