This thing is great. (I can't believe that a woman in a wheelchair and Mad-Eye Moody were what kept Malfoy from Gryffindor!)

I gotta say this is probably one of the best fics about changed dursleys I've ever read. If you would come back and finish it I would appreciate it very much!

this is a great story. I can honestly say that i was expecting very little of it, i could not see how you would make it at least semi believable. And while it is quite AU i think you have done a great job on it. I hope you get to continue it eventually.

I'm just over half way and I think this is one of my all time favorite stories.

Good story. The Dursley are hard-working people with a lot of common sense and good values they transmitted to their boys. They doesn't have much, but tried to spoilt them as they can without excess. My Mum was very much the same : she always make us pass before her own needs and we love and respect her more for it. Goods parents want to give their children a better childhood while teaching them how to advance in life. They also admitted they had some problems and sought advices (a therapy for Petunia and a gym abonnement for Vernon).

Vernon was prudent enough to teach his nephew the importance of intentions in the use of magic and to be responsible. He also teach him that people would try to use him. Except Severus Snape, magical people didn't show their best to Harry : Pomfrey accused Vernon to have contacted them too late to heal his wife while it was them who were difficult to join and McGonagall judged them with obsolete values (where the mother stay at home and care of the children) and judged their home-life in comparison with their neighboorough, ignoring they couldn't move in a more suited place because of the wards. In the end, McGonagall appears old-fashioned, superticious and without real autority in Harry's eyes because she doesn't seems to manage her own House.

Harry also learned that prejudices denied his family a stipend for his care (that they would have needed) and relegated his mother in a footnotes in history books while she was the real heroine only because she was a Muggleborn. The Harry Potter books also irritated him and it could be bad if he learn who is his pseudo magical guardian : Dumbledore give money on his name while letting his guardians struggle with money all his childhood. This Harry is not going to let others decide his life for him.

I was also amused by Draco's fears and decision to fight by becoming an healer. I was sure it would send him in Ravenclaw and was surprised by Gryffondor. Draco need to learn to close his mouth with Ron is a bully (not a great surprise). I was also amused by Crabbe and Goyle's thoughts : "Draco may have been a struck up snotty brat, but he was their struck up snotty brat." and the fact that Sirius wasn't a black sheep, but the first Black who accepted to be sorted in his rightful House.

This is such a good story, I cant wait to read the next chapter when you get around writing (if you havent already) and posting it.
